Abstract

Congestion is a problem that often occurs in big cities. Malang City, as one of the cities with the second most populous population in East Java, is not free from this traffic jam problem. In dealing with traffic jams, the government has implemented policies such as procuring school buses, traffic engineering, and arranging parking lots. This research focuses on how the Malang city government's policies deal with traffic jams from a Sound Governance perspective by prioritizing five related dimensions, namely process, structure, organization and institutions, policy, and international. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods, so the results found are that the policy for reducing congestion in the city of Malang has not fully prioritized the concept of sound governance. Of the five dimensions, there is an international dimension that has not been fulfilled, so further collaboration is needed from various sectors to get results that meet expectations.

Abstract

Abstract

Health services constitute a fundamental element in the administration of public governance, particularly as they relate to citizens’ basic rights to access quality and equitable health protection. This study examines in depth the dynamics of responsiveness and accountability in public service delivery within the context of healthcare services at RSUD Waluyo Jati Kraksaan, focusing on two primary groups of service users: BPJS patients and general patients. The analysis is conducted through the theoretical framework of New Public Service (NPS), which positions the public interest as the central objective of service delivery and emphasizes that government and public institutions must serve citizens in a humane, empathetic, participatory, and democratic manner. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach to understand service-related phenomena within their social context, relying on in-depth interviews, field observations, and administrative documentation. The findings indicate that RSUD Waluyo Jati demonstrates an initial commitment to providing equitable and public-oriented services; however, in practice, several complex gaps remain. These include prolonged waiting times for BPJS patients, disparities in service perceptions between BPJS and general patients, limited communication between the hospital and service users, and suboptimal transparency in service procedures. The implementation of key NPS principles such as Serve Rather Than Steer, The Public Interest Is the Aim, and Accountability and Transparency has not yet been fully realized in daily service practices. This study concludes that strengthening service digitalization, enhancing public communication capacity, reforming queue management systems, and simplifying BPJS administrative procedures constitute strategic measures to improve the delivery of responsive and accountable healthcare services.

Abstract

Patient satisfaction is an important indicator of the quality of health care service including pharmaceutical services. Currently, patients are dissatisfied with prescription pharmaceutical service in pharmacies, so that marketing strategy efforts must confront to increase patient satisfaction. However, previous studies still used a general marketing mix (4P) concept there was no research related to the pharmaceutical industry about the development of marketing mix into 7P and there has been no study that discussed Influence between factors in 7P because previous studies only used the correlation observational design seeking for relationship between two or more variables. The current research was conducted to investigate the influence of Extended Pharmaceutical Marketing Mix (product, price, place, promotion, pharmacist, process and physical evidence) on customer satisfaction at pharmacies in Jember. The study has been a practical Developed Cross-sectional, realized in 9 pharmacies and through structured questionnaires answered by 405 consumers of it results were carried out a SPC PLS 4.0 analysis. Results indicated that the relationship between the dimensions of EPMix and Patient Satisfaction were positive and significant (T-Statistic > 1.96, P-value < 0.05). In addition, there were significant associations between some marketing mix factors (Product–price; Promotion–price; Professional personnel–service process and Service process-product). The drug price has the largest satisfaction impact (0.206 Coefficient, T-Statistic = 3.895, P-value = 0) and the environment had the smallest (0.122 Coefficient T-Statistic = 2.12 P-value = 0.034). Finally, the pharmaceutical marketing mix service quality and pricing could enhance patient satisfaction. Pharmacies are encouraged to increase their price transparency and to support the optimization of service processes, particularly involving patients and pharmacists to raise customer trust and loyalty.
