Abstract

The study aimed to identify the memory and learning skills and their relationship to academic achievement among university students in Jordan. The descriptive approach was used in addition to the questionnaire as a tool for the study. The study sample consisted of (1000) university students from different universities, colleges, specializations and levels of study in different Jordanian universities, and the study was applied The study was conducted in the second semester of the academic year (2020-2021), and the study reached a set of results, which is that university students in general possess a high level of learning skills, recall and academic achievement, in addition to the existence of a direct relationship between learning, recall and academic achievement for the members of the research sample . The study found that there are significant differences in the skills of learning, memorization and academic achievement between the academic disciplines of the female students) Scientific and Humanitarian) and for the benefit of scientific specialization .

Abstract

Social psychological helps us understand social interactions, conflict, communication, and group dynamics. Research in this field is often carried out through scientific methods such as experiments, surveys, observations, and statistical data analysis to reveal patterns of behavior and social influence in various contexts of daily life. The study aimed to identify reality Social Psychological and educational counseling and guidance in Jordanian educational institutions. To achieve the purpose of the study, the theoretical analytical qualitative approach was used, through an attempt to evaluate and examine the reality of the counseling process in Jordan. Based on results found that in the second semester of the academic year (2022/2023); Where the study concluded that the reality of counseling and social psychological and educational guidance in Jordanian educational institutions is applied and activated in a somewhat positive way, but the weakness of capabilities and resources prevents the realization of all the goals set correctly.

Abstract

Students dropping out has become a serious attention recently, particularly in the third world countries. Many notions have addressed the main factors which underlies such a phenomenon. This study, therefore, aimed to identify the reasons for secondary school students in Jordan dropping out of their schools from the teachers’ point of view. In this sense, the teachers’ perspective was necessary to obtain overall depictions related to behind reasons of students’ dropping out. The descriptive approach was used in addition to the use of the questionnaire as a study tool. The study sample consisted of 150 secondary school teachers in Ajloun Governorate, Jordan. The study was held in the first semester of the academic year 2021-2022 AD. Based on the data, the study concluded that there were 16 reasons for students dropping out of their schools to a high degree, and 6 reasons leading to students dropping out of their schools to a moderate degree, and 4 reasons leading to students dropping out of their schools to a low degree.

Abstract

This study aims to identify tenth grade students’ attitudes towards vocational education in Jordan, as well as this attitude’s relationship with the gender variable. The analytical descriptive approach was used to achieve the goals of this study. A questionnaire consisting of 25 items was created covering six fields: the professional field, the administrative field, the health field, the economic field, the media field, and the educational field. This questionnaire was distributed to a sample of 1,184 male and female students in the schools of the Jordanian Ministry of Education in the first semester of the academic year 2022/2023. After conducting the appropriate statistical treatments to tenth grade students’ attitudes towards vocational education in Jordan, the results were a medium degree of correlation on the tool as a whole and on all of the areas of study mentioned. There was a lack of statistically significant trends within a 95% confidence interval α≤0.05 for the gender variables (male and female students).

Abstract

This study aims to identify the role of Jordanian teachers in promoting an Islamic culture of tolerance from the perspective of basic-stage students in Jordan. It also aimed to determine the difference between the students’ opinions regarding their views and the role of the Jordanian teacher in promoting the Islamic culture of tolerance according to the gender and geographical location of the school. This study used quantitative and descriptive approaches, in which the data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of 28 items. The questionnaire was distributed to a sample of 1,000 male and female students in the first semester of the year 2023/2024. After conducting the necessary statistical treatments, 19 items in the questionnaire received a high score and nine items received a moderate score. Furthermore, the questionnaire showed a high score for the scale, with a mean of 2.76 and a standard deviation of 0.62. The results of the study showed no statistically significant differences depending on the gender variable, while the results of the study showed that existence differences function statistically be consoled for the variable of the geographical location of the school and in favor of the school in the village.

Abstract

The study aims to identify the role of the teacher in promoting the Islamic culture of tolerance among tenth-grade students in Jordan by keeping in view the relationship of tolerance to the variables of gender and place of residence. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach has been used, in addition to using the questionnaire as a tool for the study which was applied to a sample consisting of two thousand male and female students studying in the second semester of the academic year (2023-2024). The results of the study show that twelve (12) items obtained a score of (very high), and sixteen (16) items obtained a score of (high). It has been observed that the role of the teacher in promoting the culture of tolerance among tenth-grade students was high on the scale as a whole, in addition to the presence of statistically significant differences between the students’ opinions according to the variables of gender, in favor of males and place of residence, and favor of students in rural areas and villages.
