This research is motivated by the importance of mastering tajweed in improving the quality of Qur'anic recitation, while there are still many students who have not been able to read according to the rules of tajweed so that it affects the understanding of the meaning of the verse. This study aims to determine the implementation of Hidayatush Shibyan classical book learning in improving the quality of tahfizh students' Qur'an reading at Assafinah Islamic Boarding School in Bogor, analyze the quality of students' reading, and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in the learning process. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation, while data analysis is done by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that book learning is carried out regularly once a week with sorogan and bandongan methods. Of the 15 tahfizh students, 12 experienced a significant improvement in understanding the laws of tajweed, were more aware of reading errors, and actively corrected them, while 3 students still needed guidance in the aspects of makhraj, mad reading laws, and ghunnah. The success of learning is supported by learning motivation, teacher quality, easy-to-understand material, and a conducive boarding school environment. The main obstacles lie in the differences in the initial abilities of the students and the limited learning time. Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya penguasaan ilmu tajwid dalam meningkatkan kualitas bacaan Al-Qur’an, sementara masih banyak santri yang belum mampu membaca sesuai kaidah tajwid sehingga berpengaruh pada pemahaman makna ayat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi pembelajaran kitab klasik Hidayatush Shibyan dalam meningkatkan kualitas bacaan Al-Qur’an santri tahfizh di Pondok Pesantren Assafinah Bogor, menganalisis kualitas bacaan santri, serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kitab dilaksanakan rutin seminggu sekali dengan metode sorogan dan bandongan. Dari 15 santri tahfizh, sebanyak 12 orang mengalami peningkatan signifikan dalam memahami hukum tajwid, lebih sadar terhadap kesalahan bacaan, serta aktif memperbaikinya, sementara 3 santri masih membutuhkan bimbingan dalam aspek makhraj, hukum bacaan mad, dan ghunnah. Keberhasilan pembelajaran ditunjang oleh motivasi belajar, kualitas guru, materi yang mudah dipahami, dan lingkungan pondok yang kondusif. Adapun hambatan utama terletak pada perbedaan kemampuan awal santri dan keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran.
