Abstract

MI Darussalam Jatiguwi is one of the MI’s in Malang Regency. Many problems are faced by the institution, one of which is the limited number and competence of teachers or teaching staff and the lack of use of information technology to support activities financial management system in elementary school. The purpose of implementing this Community Service Activity (PkM) is the revitalization and development of MI Darussalam teachers related to a SpreadSheet-based financial management system mentoring workshop. The implementation of PkM is carried out by giving live lectures and demonstrations of using applications to manage madrasah finances. The PkM activity was held in the MI Darussalam Jatiguwi building and was attended by the PkM Team and students of the Chemical Engineering Department as well as teachers and staff of MI Darussalam Jatiguwi. This PkM activity pays attention to the health protocol, namely the participants involved are measured their body temperature, before entering the room clean their hands and must wear masks during the activity. The event started with an opening by the Chairman of the MI Darussalam Foundation, followed by remarks by representatives of the PkM Team, a symbolic handover of computer grants and the provision of materials. Participants participated enthusiastically.

Abstract

Salah salah satu komoditas perkebunan paling banyak yang ditanam di Indonesia adalah tanaman tebu (Saccharum officinarum). PG Kebon Agung merupakan perusahaan di bidang industri gula yang terletak di Kabupaten Malang. Proses pengolahan tebu menjadi gula kristal putih melalui serangkaian tahapan yaitu ekstraksi tebu, pemurnian, penguapan, kristalisasi, dan sentrifugasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai laju aliran input dan output, %brix dan %pol yang masuk dan keluar evaporator dengan tekanan uap bekas 1,7 kg/cm2. Metode perhitungan dilakukan menggunakan konsep neraca massa untuk memekatkan nira jernih dari brix 11,5% hingga mencapai sasaran sebesar 60% dengan kapasitas 12500 TCD (Ton Cane per Day). Hasil perhitungan pada tekanan uap bekas 1,7 kg/cm2 dengan kapasitas 12500 TCD massa yang masuk sama dengan massa yang keluar sebesar 520,8333 ton/jam. massa brix dan pol antara input dan output nilainya sama yaitu brix sebesar 59,8958 ton/jam dan pol sebesar 45,2014 ton/jam. Hasil perhitungan dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk memekatkan nira jernih dari brix awal sebesar 11,5% hingga mencapai sasaran sebesar 60% pada kapasitas tersebut tidak ada massa yang hilang pada sistem dan sesuai dengan hukum kekalan massa.

Abstract

Mulyorejo Village is an area in the Malang which is has many home industries particularly based on food and drink which is directly proportional with the waste namely waste cooking oil. Recently, the society discharged it directly to the environment. Therefore, it is important for the people of Mulyorejo Village to obtained skills in order to processing that waste. The community service that has been done is how to make liquid dishes soap from waste cooking oil. The active ingredient is potassium hydroxide. In addition, the training was conducted through the use of reuse bottles as a substitute for plastic packaging which can later be filled through refill station. The community service was held on October 6th, 2023 with 15 participants. Based on the results of the questionnaire, it can be seen that the mean value reaches 3.84 and the mode value of each question is 4.0. Thus, it can be informed that the training participants understand, feel the benefit and satisfied with the guidance of liquid dishes soap fabrication. The training participants also received materials and tools for refilling liquid dishes soap from the community service team which could be used to produce liquid dishes soap independently.
