Abstract

An area that is a tourist attraction must have uniqueness which is the main target when visiting the tourist area. This research aims to determine the development of the Air Bangis Beach tourist area in Sungai Beremas District, West Pasaman Regency. The research was carried out by direct observation using questionnaires with SWOT analysis. Data analysis through strategic planning methods is used to evaluate strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that occur in a project or in a business venture, or evaluate one's own product lines or those of competitors. To carry out the analysis, the business objectives are determined or the objects to be analyzed are identified. Strengths and weaknesses are grouped into internal factors, while opportunities and threats are identified as external factors. The research results show that tourist attractions that have good potential need to develop ecotourism to obtain various benefits for socio-economic, socio-cultural, flora and fauna.

Abstract

Oyster mushroom cultivation has been so widely practiced in Indonesia, both in areas where the climate is cool or rather hot. In general, the kumbung used is made in such a way as to resemble a bamboo hut and usually has a ground floor and a thatched roof. But the cultivation of Oyster mushrooms, which is carried out in the service activities of the Saiyo Jorong Hulu Aia Batu Badukuang Nagari Harau Farmers Group, Harau District, Fifty Cities Regency, uses a former house that is no longer used as an innovation for its kumbung The Women Farmers Group (KWT) is a partner of the Community Service Program by lecturers at the Muhammadiyah University of West Sumatra. The people who have joined have inadequate income. While environmental conditions and cool climates support the cultivation of oyster mushrooms. The method in this service program has 3 stages, namely 1). Socialization, 2) Workshop, 3) Mentoring and 4) Monitoring and Evaluation. This Community Service Program lasts for 8 months, from July 2020 to March 2021. This Community Service Program can improve the economy of the surrounding community. Can increase public knowledge and expertise about oyster mushrooms and mushroom cultivation. Besides that, it can also form a clean environment by using the former house to become a mushroom barn.

Abstract

Nagari Limau Gadang Lumpo, Pesisir Selatan Regency, has natural tourism potential such as Batu Biduak River, Sarasah Talang Waterfall, rafting, and camping grounds. This potential supports the development of community-based ecotourism in the buffer zone of Kerinci Seblat National Park. However, tourism management remains limited due to inadequate infrastructure, lack of promotion, and low community capacity in management. This study aims to identify tourism potential and formulate appropriate development strategies in Nagari Limau Gadang Lumpo, IV Jurai District, Pesisir Selatan Regency. The area possesses various natural tourism assets, such as Sarasah Talang Waterfall, Batu Biduak River, and a camping ground, which have not yet been optimally managed. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method through observation, interviews, and literature review. The analysis refers to the ADO-ODTWA guidelines and uses SWOT analysis. The results indicate that most assessment aspects fall into the "Feasible" and "Highly Feasible" categories for development. The proposed development strategies focus on infrastructure improvement, training for the tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis), and digital-based promotion. This study contributes to the management of community-based and environmentally sustainable tourism. Keywords: Tourism Potential, Development, ADO-ODTWA, SWOT, Ecotourism
