Abstract

Indonesia is located in a tropical area and is rich in natural resources and abundant agricultural land. The technique that can save land is the hydroponic system. The hydroponic system has the disadvantage that it requires more labor and maintenance compared to tillage. This research aims to design a tool that can combine and control air pH, air nutrients, air temperature and air flow speed on hydroponic plants through the Blynk application. It is hoped that this application can make it easier for hydroponic owners to control and monitor their plants remotely. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a Waterfall research design. Based on the research results, the results of testing the air pH sensor showed an average difference of 0.18 and testing the TDS sensor, temperature sensor and water flow sensor produced different types of air which had their own resulting values in the sensor readings. In testing the relay response, applying voltage to the relay and calculating the length of delay on the pump relay gives different times with a calculation of several seconds

Abstract

Poor weather is a common problem faced by fishermen. For example, heavy rain can cause boats to flood, potentially damaging the boat’s motor engine. This research is based on the problem, of designing a microcontroller-based automatic water pump prototype. The method used in the research is experimental, following the Research and Development (R&D) model. The prototype design uses a 12-volt battery to operate the Arduino as the automatic water pump system, with a 9-volt input voltage that has been converted using a step-down converter. Meanwhile, the water pump is directly connected to the battery. In testing the ultrasonic sensor as a water detector, an average discrepancy of 0.5 cm was recorded. The relay response test was conducted by supplying voltage to the relay and measuring the relay pump activation delay over a few seconds. The SMS-based notification system test, conducted using a Sim800L, showed an average response time of 0.6 seconds across five trials. This prototype can make the water draining process easier, saving time and energy, and improving efficiency.

Abstract

Lulusan sekolah menengah memiliki minat beragam seperti melanjutkan kuliah, berwirausaha, mengikuti pelatihan atau langsung bekerja. Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh faktor internal (motivasi dan kemauan) serta faktor eksternal (ekonomi orang tua dan lingkungan) terhadap minat peserta didik teknik kelistrikan SMK Negeri 1 Darul Kamal untuk melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi. Dengan metode kuantitatif asosiatif dan regresi linear berganda, data dari 22 peserta didik (kelas X dan XI) dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner skala likert dan dianalisis menggunakan SPSS 30. Hasil penelitian uji t (parsial) menunjukkan bahwa faktor internal yaitu motivasi (X1) dan kemauan (X2), memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat peserta didik (Y). Pada faktor eksternal hanya ekonomi orang tua (X3) yang memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan, sedangkan pada lingkungan (X4) tidak menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan. Secara simultan, keempat variabel memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap minat peserta didik, dengan nilai F hitung sebesar 8,562. Koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,668 mengindikasikan bahwa 66,8% variasi minat peserta didik dijelaskan oleh variabel motivasi, kemauan, ekonomi orang tua dan lingkungan. sedangkan sisanya sebesar 33,2% disebabkan oleh faktor lain di luar penelitian ini. Dengan demikian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi, kemauan, dan ekonomi orang tua berperan penting dalam menentukan minat peserta didik melanjutkan studi, sementara lingkungan tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan.

Abstract

Capacity can be developed into amazing skills that can boost personal creativity. A person's abilities, skills, or psychomotor abilities are all related. This study aimed to assess the psychomotor proficiency of SMKN 2 Banda Aceh students. P1, P2, and P3 of the psychomotor scale were used in this study to examine imitation, manipulation, and articulation. Interviews were done as part of the qualitative research process. Both in-person and online interviews using the WhatsApp app were done by visiting the informant at school. In the odd semester of 2020–2021, the interviews' findings indicate that students' psychomotor skills in productive material are restricted to P1 or imitation. Each student receives homework assignments from the teacher as part of the learning process. This is due to the COVID-19 epidemic, which outlawed busy activities in classrooms and forced learning to continue online. Lack of action in the lab causes unskilled students, therefore the teacher employs real-world video tutorial media that the students can copy. Teachers find evaluating students' psychomotor skills challenging because they have limited resources and can only evaluate their knowledge abilities.

Abstract

Mata kuliah Teknik Instalasi Listrik merupakan salah satu kompetensi penting dalam bidang Pendidikan Teknik Elektro, khususnya dalam pembelajaran sistem instalasi listrik. Namun, keterbatasan media pembelajaran yang representatif dan mudah dipahami sering menjadi kendala dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain e-modul sistem instalasi kelistrikan cerdas berbasis IoT yang dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran dalam praktikum mata kuliah Teknik Instalasi Listrik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan Model Alessi dan Trollip yang memiliki tiga langkah pengembangan yaitu Standar, On going Evaluation dan poject menagement. Prosedur pengembangan Alessi dan Trollip meliputi tiga tahap penting yaitu Planing, Design, dan Development. Instrumen penelitian yang dilakukan oleh peneliti adalah validasi ahli media, materi dan bahasa untuk menguji kelayakan hasil dari desain e-modul sistem instalasi kelistrikan cerdas berbasis IoT. Hasil Validasi ahli media mendapatkan 86%, ahli materi 87% dan ahli bahasa 85%. Berdasarkan hasil validasi tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-modul sistem instalasi kelistrikan cerdas berbasis IoT yang telah didesain sangat layak diterapkan pada praktikum mata kuliah Teknik Instalasi Listrik.
