Abstract

ABSTRACT The Youth Care Health Service (PKPR) is a health service program aimed at youth in Primary Health Centers, which are expected to be able to provide services in order to achieve healthy youths. There is still a gender-neutral assumption that men and women are treated the same because they both have the same needs and problems. While gender equality is that men and women have different reproductive functions; however, they both are socially and culturally assumed to have the same reproductive health needs. Therefore, the PKPR program evaluation essential in handling gender-equality-and-justice oriented youth reproductive health issues. To evaluate the PKPR program in handling gender-equality-and-justice oriented youth reproductive health issues at the Gamping I Public Health Center using the CIPP model. Method: This research was qualitative research with a case study approach; it employed a embedded single-case design with a purposive sampling technique that utilized sampling technique with specific criteria. The number of participants in this study was 12 informants. The performance of PKPR had partially fulfilled the gender equality substance, namely, in terms of Context, Input, Process, and Product, although in its implementation, its assumption was more gender-neutral. The government budget was still limited so that the needs of a program could not be fulfilled, and there was a lack of parental participation in the PKPR.

Abstract

This research is about the development of a PjBL-based student worksheet that aims to support the numeracy skills of students, especially at the junior high school level, and to describe the development process as well as the validity and feasibility of PjBL-based student worksheet on the topic of integers to support the numeracy skills of seventh-grade students. This research uses the ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, evaluation). The development stages in this research are preliminary studies, planning, worksheet development, worksheet validation, and worksheet feasibility testing. The subjects of this study were seventh-grade students of a private junior high school in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia, in the 2023/2024 academic year. The data obtained from this study were interviews and questionnaire assessments. The worksheet validation by two expert validators showed that the worksheet was declared very valid with an average score of 3.725. The feasibility test results based on a questionnaire from students showed an average score of 3.248 with a very valid category.

Abstract

Background: Teenagers are those aged 10-19 years who are future leaders and are a human resource who does not receive enough attention. One-fifth of the world's population is a teenager who mostly lives in developing countries. Society considers adolescents to be healthier, but adolescents are more vulnerable and at higher risk of contracting diseases that cause death. In 2015 1.3 million people died in the world during adolescence which could have been prevented. This occurs in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), which make up two-thirds of Africa's 45 per cent. About 16 million adolescent girls aged 15-19 years and around 2.5 million girls under 16 give birth each year in developing countries. There are about 3 million young women who have unsafe abortions every year aged 15-19 years. Globally, about 2 million adolescents are infected with the human immune virus (HIV), and more than 41 per cent of adolescents become infected with new HIV each year.Purpose: to assess barriers for adolescents to access reproductive health services in developing countries.Method: Appraisal studies program using Critical Appraisal Skills Program (CASP) data sources obtained from PubMed with 2009 – 2019.Results: inadequate space, no privacy, limited service hours, poor service attitude, lack of information, a distance of clinics, high transportation costs, clinics aimed at married couples. Lack of human resources, parental support, peer influence, religion and weak community traditions for adolescent health interventions also trigger adolescents not to access reproductive health clinics. Conclusion: The obstacles for adolescents in accessing reproductive health services are the level of infrastructure, the individual level, the level of human resources and the community level
