Abstract

Project-based learning is one of the lessons that is able to direct participants. The process of childbirth is identical to the feeling of pain as a manifestation of the birth process which begins with uterine contractions, cervical dilatation and effacement. It is a physiological process, as a subjective experience of the physical sensations associated with the stages of labour. To reduce the sensation of labor pain, it is necessary to have pain management in labor using non-pharmacological methods, one of which is acupressure. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of acupressure on the level of labor pain. Methods: The research design in this study was a pre-experiment with a one-group pre-post test design. The population of all women giving birth normally with a sample of 52 respondents for the intervention group and 52 respondents for the control group. The sampling technique was accidental sampling. Bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxon test. Results: Statistical tests using the Wilcoson test obtained p value = 0.000 (p value 0.05) meaning that acupressure has been proven to significantly reduce the intensity of labor pain. Conclusion: acupressure can reduce the intensity of physiological labor pain in primigravidas in labor during the first active phase.

Abstract

Background: Anaemia is one of the health problems that occur in pregnant women, often associated with a lack of iron intake. One approach to overcoming iron deficiency anaemia is through the use of functional foods, such as soy milk, because it contains high protein and iron, which can stimulate the production of red blood cells. This study aims to determine the effect of soy milk on haemoglobin levels in pregnant women with anaemia. This research method uses a quasi-experimental research design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The intervention group underwent an initial haemoglobin level check (Haemoglobin 1), followed by a 15-day intervention period by consuming soy milk (250 ml/day) and Fe tablets (2x1/day). On day 16, the haemoglobin level was re-evaluated (Haemoglobin 2). Meanwhile, the control group also underwent an initial haemoglobin level check (Haemoglobin 1) and then received iron tablets (2x1/day), with a follow-up haemoglobin level check on day 16 (Haemoglobin 2). The total sample size was 130 people (65 people in the intervention group and 65 people in the control group). Sampling was purposive sampling, and the data were analysed with a dependent t-test for the intervention group, a Wilcoxon test for the control group, and a Mann-Whitney test. The majority of respondents were between 20 and 35 years old (94.6%), had junior high school education (63.15%), did not work (75.4%), had a had a parity less than 2 (76.9%), and had a had a low knowledge level (70.8%). After the intervention, haemoglobin levels increased by 0.9. Statistical analysis showed a significant difference in the mean haemoglobin levels before and after soy milk consumption (p = 0.001). In addition, there was a significant difference in haemoglobin levels between the intervention group and the control group (p = 0.001). Soy milk consumption showed a positive effect on haemoglobin levels in anaemic pregnant women. Soy milk consumption (2x250 ml/day) can be an alternative to increasing haemoglobin levels in pregnant women.

Abstract

Latar belakang: wanita hamil dengan anemia merupakan sebuah masalah global karena berdampak pada sebagian wanita hamil di dunia. Sebagian besar ibu hamil di dunia mengalami anemia diperkirakan sebesar 41,8%, dan penyebabnya adalah kekurangan zat besi. Cara non farmakologis yaitu penting terkait konsumsi asupan gizi yang sesuai ketika hamil sehingga kebutuhan zat besi terpenuhi, dalam rangka meningkatkan jumlah sel darah merah dan membentuk sel darah merah janin dan plasenta, yaitu diantaranya dengan mengkonsumsi sayuran berdaun hijau serta melakukan senam hamil. Tujuan: penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas kombinasi senam hamil dan konsumsi sayuran berdaun hijau terhadap kadar hemoglobin ibu hamil di Kabupaten Karawang tahun 2019. Metode: jenis penelitian quasi-experiment dengan desain Pretest-Posttest control Group.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu ibu hamil sebanyak 59 responden, terdiri dari 1 kelompok perlakuan dan 1 kelompok kontrol. Hasil:  sebagian besar responden adalah berusia tidak berisiko yaitu sebanyak 39 orang (67,2%), berpendidikan rendah sebanyak 34 orang (58,6%) dan usia kehamilan trimester II sebanyak 40 orang (69%), ditemukan ada ada perbedaan peningkatan kadar hemoglobin sebanyak 0,5 gr/dl. Kesimpulan: ada pengaruh kombinasi senam hamil dan konsumsi sayuran berdaun hijau dengan kadar hemoglobin ibu hamil (p value= 0,00).

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Prevalensi anemia pada remaja putri saat ini masih tinggi berkisar 40-88% , dan di Indonesia 21,7%. Kehilangan darah saat menstruasi menyebabkan remaja putri rentan mengalami anemia, yang berisiko mengalami anemia saat hamil. Anemia dalam kehamilan mempunyai dampak negatif terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan janin dalam kandungan serta berpotensi menimbulkan komplikasi kehamilan dan persalinan, bahkan menyebabkan kematian ibu dan anak. Tujuan: tujuan penelitian ingin mengetahui hubungan faktor determinan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri SMP Budi Mulia Karawang tahun 2018. Metode: desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu cross sectional. Populasi pada penelitian adalah  seluruh siswi SMP Budi Mulia, total sampel  sebanyak 67  responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara  simple random sampling, data dianalisa dengan uji statistik  chi square. Hasil: hasil penelitian menunjukkan kejadian  anemia  pada siswi SMP Budi Mulia sebanyak 38,8 %, status gizi, pola makan, konsumsi Fe, dan pengetahuan  tidak memiliki hubungan yang bermakna dengan   kejadian anemia pada remaja putri  dengan nilai p ≥ 0,005 yaitu status gizi (p=0,281), pola makan (p=0,728), konsumsi fe (p=0,730) dan pengetahuan (p=0,728). Simpulan: faktor determinan tidak memiliki hubungan yang bermakna dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri.
