Abstract

Introduction: The OSCE score, as a component of students learning performance evaluation, is affected by external and internal factors. An example of an external factor that has an influence is the educational environment, whereas an internal factor that affects OSCE score is self-efficacy. Methods: This study was an observational analytic study, conducted at the Faculty of Medicine UNS. Samples included students of the Faculty of Medicine UNS school year 2013 and 2014. A sample of 189 students was obtained by simple random sampling, and each student was given a questionnaire on self-efficacy using General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES). Educational environment component was measured with Dundee Ready Education Environment meassure (DREEM). Each component was later interpreted and a comparison was done between school years since they have distinct academic activities. Results: Results from the hypothesis test showed sig of 0,046 which implies a significant correlation between GSES and OSCE scores. Pearson correlation value of 0.186 indicates a weak, positive correlation. Similarly, DREEM and OSCE scores were found to be significantly correlated with sig of 0,000 and Pearson correlation value of 0.375 which also indicates a weak, positive correlation. Conclusion: There is a very weak correlation between self efficacy rate and the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) score. Likewise, a weak correlation was also found between the educational environments and Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) score. Keywords: OSCE score, self-efficacy, educational environment

Abstract

Background: Pneumonia is one of the complications which is undergone the most in stroke patient. One of the factors which is related to pneumonia is the severity stroke. This research is to find out correlation between the severity of stroke and pneumonia. Method: This research is cross-sectional study. The research is conducted in the ward of Anggrek 2 Dr. Moewardi Hospital. The independent variable of this research is the severity of stroke, meanwhile the dependent variable is the pneumonia diagnosis. The severity of patient hospitalized in April until October 2013 is measured by NIHSS. The samples are taken in simple random sampling to the number of 64 samples, divided into 2 groups where each of them consists of 32 samples. The samples are divided into 2 groups based on the NIHSS score, such as mild ischemic stroke patient (score <15) and severe ischemic stroke patient (score >15). Pneumonia diagnosis is gained through the data from medical record at the sample taking. The data is analyzed by Chi Square to find out the significance statistically. Result: This research shows the result oftest is OR = 3,857; CI 95% 1,33411,157. Patients with severe stroke have 3,857 more risk to have pneumonia than patients with mild stroke. Conclusion: There is a correlation between severity of stroke and pneumonia in patient with post-acute ischemic stroke in Unit Penyakit Saraf Dr. Moewardi Hospital. Keyword: severity of stroke, pneumonia, NIHSS

Abstract

The interaction between aircraft noise stress factor with gastrointestinal disorders is believed through brain-HPA-axis, including psycho-neuro-immune-endocrinology system which is direct or indirect could influence on the acid secretion, motility, vascularitation and sensory of pain. The aims of the research is  to find out the difference of the gastrointestinal disorders of women with the aircraft  noise stress in the area of Adi Soemarmo Airport of Boyolali. The research finding is expected to contribute to the science development and to give benefits for local government and among people in the Area of Adi Soemarmo Airport in preventing the effect of aircraft noise. The research design was an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach, taking location at the Dibal and Gagak Sipat Village, Ngemplak Sub district, Boyolali District. The research was conducted from March 2011- to October 2011. The number of respondent was 117. They were divided into 3 groups; Group 1 was exposed 93.10 dB of noise level (39 respondents);  Group 2 was exposed 74.51 dB of noise level (38 respondents); and Group 3 was exposed  54.45 dB of noise level (40 respondents). The samples were taken using simple random sampling. The data were analyzed by Chi-kwadrat. Based on the results of the analysis, a conclusion was drawn that there was a significant difference of the gastrointestinal disorders of women with the aircraft  noise stress in the area of Adi Soemarmo Airport of Boyolali (p<0.05; α=0.05). Keywords : Aircraft noise stress, Gastrointestinal disorders, Adi Soemarmo Airport

Abstract

Presidential Order no. 6/2012 mentioned explicitly to use ortho-rectifed image for the purposes of national program done by all Indonesian governmental agencies. Policy of uses, control quality, processing and distribution of high resolution of satellite data are regulated by this Order. There are some advantages of implementing this Order particularly in accelerating the national geospatial data and information, however, without synergy use of high resolution imagery (including integration, coordination and harmonization), in the present condition so far some obstacles have been discovered.  Without  synergic actions or approaches, the Order will not provide optimal impact as the main objectives to make more efficient in using the national budget. This article describes the needs of synergy approach to implement the Presidential Order no. 6/2012 concerning the uses, distribution of high remotely sensed imageries.
