Abstract

Kata Kunci: Madu Rambutan, Hepatoprotektif, SGOT, SGPT, IL-6 The liver is part of an organ system that has an essential role in metabolic, conjugation, and detoxification processes but is also susceptible to damage. Excessive alcohol consumption will cause metabolic disorders in the liver. SGOT and SGPT enzyme level tests are markers of liver function. Apart from examining the SGOT and SGPT enzymes, interleukin-6 has an essential role in the pathology of liver disease and is very complex. This study used an experimental design of 5 treatment groups, including normal control, negative control, and 3 alcohol and honey induction treatment groups, to determine the hepatoprotective activity of rambutan honey on liver function and the IL-6 gene profile after in vivo induction of alcoholic beverages. According to the test results, it can be seen that there was an increase in SGOT levels by 46% and SGOT by 21% in the negative control group (which was only induced by alcohol). The group given the alcohol induction treatment and rambutan honey had SGOT and SGPT levels that were close to normal control values. Based on the results of the Anova statistical test on the SGOT test, it can be seen that the significance result is 0.00 (<0.05), which means there is significance difference between treatments. Based on the IL-6 gene profile analyzed by PCR and visualized by electrophoresis, it appears to be expressed in all groups. This indicates that rambutan honey possesses hepatoprotective potential for liver function.

Abstract

Zumba exercise is included in sports that can reduce fat deposits, this is because the energy source needed in exercise apart from burning carbohydrates in the form of glucose is also from burning fat reserves or triglycerides. Stored triglycerides will be converted into fatty acids and glycerol. Glycerol will enter the body's metabolism to be converted into glucose and pyruvic acid. Fatty acids will be broken down together with carbohydrates and oxygen to become energy (ATP) in the mitochondria. Therefore, Zumba exercise is a sport that can reduce cholesterol levels and waist circumference ratio,The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between the duration of Zumba exercise and total cholesterol levels. This research is a type of observational analytical research using a purposive sampling technique with 28 samples obtained from HERCULES FITNES Karanganyar. Measurements of total cholesterol levels were obtained from respondents who filled out a questionnaire and fasted for 8 - 12 hours before taking samples, then the blood samples were taken to the Clinical Laboratory of the National College of Health Sciences to check total cholesterol levels using the Clima MC 15 Photometer. Research results In all samples, cholesterol levels were found to have a value that exceeded the normal limit, namely 205 mg/dl. The conclusion of research conducted on 28 respondents who took part in Zumba exercise at HERCULES FITNES using the Spearman correlation test showed that there was a significant correlation with a P-value of 0.776, meaning that there was a relationship between the duration of Zumba exercise and total cholesterol levels

Abstract

Hypertension is a chronic condition associated with metabolic disorders, including decreased High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) levels and elevated uric acid levels, which may increase cardiovascular risk. Physical activity and dietary patterns are lifestyle factors believed to influence these metabolic parameters, although previous findings remain inconsistent. This study aimed to examine the relationship between physical activity and HDL levels, as well as dietary patterns and uric acid levels, among hypertensive patients participating in the Chronic Disease Management Program (PROLANIS) at Klinik Griya Sehat Colomadu. An observational study with analytic elements utilizing both cohort and cross-sectional methods was carried out with 30 participants chosen through purposive sampling. The level of physical activity was evaluated using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), while eating habits were analyzed through a Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) that was substantiated by a 24-hour food recall. HDL and uric acid concentrations were determined using enzymatic methods in a laboratory. The data was examined employing the Spearman correlation test and Fisher’s Exact Test at a significance threshold of 0.05. Findings indicated that the average HDL level was greater in the group engaging in moderate physical activity compared to the one with low physical activity; nevertheless, no significant relationship was observed (p = 0.091). Dietary patterns were also not significantly associated with uric acid levels (p = 0.155). In conclusion, physical activity was not significantly related to HDL levels, and dietary patterns were not significantly related to uric acid levels among hypertensive PROLANIS patients.

Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic condition that is increasingly prevalent and may result in various complications, including diminished kidney function. The management of blood glucose levels over an extended period in individuals with diabetes can be evaluated through a test for glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), while kidney performance is evaluated by estimating the glomerular filtration rate (GFR). This study aims to determine the relationship between HbA1c levels and estimated glomerular filtration rate in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients enrolled in the Chronic Disease Management Program (Prolanis) at the Griya Sehat Colomadu Clinic. This research is an observational analysis with a cross-sectional approach. The sample included 29 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Data on HbA1c levels were gathered from medical files spanning the previous year, while GFR values were determined from serum creatinine levels using the CKD-EPI equation. The analysis of the connection between these two factors was conducted using the Spearman correlation test and the Odds Ratio test. The findings indicated a notable association between HbA1c levels and GFR values, showing a moderate correlation strength (p = 0.012; r = 0.458). The Odds Ratio of 0.370 (95% CI: 0.082-1.667) suggests that individuals with elevated HbA1C levels may have a lower likelihood of experiencing a reduction in GFR; however, this relationship lacks clinical significance. The conclusion drawn is that there exists a significant link between HbA1c levels and the estimated glomerular filtration rate among type 2 diabetes mellitus patients at the Griya Sehat Colomadu Clinic, characterized by a moderate positive association.

Abstract

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is a long-term condition marked by high blood sugar levels resulting from poor insulin operation, which can cause serious blood vessel issues like high triglyceride levels. The government created the Chronic Disease Management Program (PROLANIS) to encourage healthy lifestyles and enhance the quality of life for patients. The time spent participating is vital since the formation of habits usually takes about three months. The study was ethically approved under number KEPK/UMP/193/VI/2025. An observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach was employed. Samples were selected using purposive sampling. Primary data were obtained from triglyceride measurements, while secondary data regarding participation duration were retrieved from medical records. The results showed a correlation coefficient of -0.026 with p = 0.897 (sig.>= 0.05). The direction of the relationship suggests that longer PROLANIS participation is followed by a decrease in triglyceride levels. There is no significant correlation between the duration of PROLANIS participation and triglyceride levels in T2DM patients at Griya Sehat Colomadu Clinic. Future research should implement more specific inclusion criteria and control for other confounding factors.

Abstract

Hypertension is a chronic disease with an increasing prevalence and may lead to various complications, one of which is cardiovascular disorders associated with elevated cholesterol levels. Control of cardiovascular risk factors in patients with hypertension can be achieved through structured physical activity, such as the Chronic Disease Management Program (Prolanis) exercise, while lipid profiles can be evaluated through total cholesterol examination. This study aimed to determine differences in cholesterol levels based on the regularity of participation in Prolanis exercise among hypertensive patients at Griya Sehat Colomadu Clinic. This study was an observational study with a cross-sectional design. The research sample consisted of 26 hypertensive patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Cholesterol level data were obtained through laboratory examinations, while data on regularity of participation in Prolanis exercise were collected from attendance records. Differences in cholesterol levels based on exercise regularity were analyzed using the Friedman test. The results showed a significant difference between regularity of Prolanis exercise participation and cholesterol levels (p = 0.000), with patients who regularly participated in the exercise having lower cholesterol levels compared to those who participated irregularly or did not participate at all. Most respondents were in the pre-elderly age group with normal body mass index; however, the level of exercise participation varied. It can be concluded that regular participation in Prolanis exercise is associated with differences in cholesterol levels among hypertensive patients at Griya Sehat Colomadu Clinic.
