Kata Kunci: Madu Rambutan, Hepatoprotektif, SGOT, SGPT, IL-6 The liver is part of an organ system that has an essential role in metabolic, conjugation, and detoxification processes but is also susceptible to damage. Excessive alcohol consumption will cause metabolic disorders in the liver. SGOT and SGPT enzyme level tests are markers of liver function. Apart from examining the SGOT and SGPT enzymes, interleukin-6 has an essential role in the pathology of liver disease and is very complex. This study used an experimental design of 5 treatment groups, including normal control, negative control, and 3 alcohol and honey induction treatment groups, to determine the hepatoprotective activity of rambutan honey on liver function and the IL-6 gene profile after in vivo induction of alcoholic beverages. According to the test results, it can be seen that there was an increase in SGOT levels by 46% and SGOT by 21% in the negative control group (which was only induced by alcohol). The group given the alcohol induction treatment and rambutan honey had SGOT and SGPT levels that were close to normal control values. Based on the results of the Anova statistical test on the SGOT test, it can be seen that the significance result is 0.00 (<0.05), which means there is significance difference between treatments. Based on the IL-6 gene profile analyzed by PCR and visualized by electrophoresis, it appears to be expressed in all groups. This indicates that rambutan honey possesses hepatoprotective potential for liver function.
