Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the high-intensity interval training method using an elevation training mask on anaerobic capacity. This research uses an experimental method of One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 10 student-level athletes in one of the women's futsal clubs. The test instrument used was the running-based anaerobic sprint test—data analysis using non-parametric statistics. The results showed that the paired-sample t-test had a sig value. Of 0.016 so it can be concluded that there is an effect of high-intensity interval training using an elevation training mask on the increase in anaerobic capacity.

Abstract

Dual career athlete is the definition of a situation where an athlete pursues two career paths simultaneously. This study aims to analyze dual career athlete-related research published in 2012-2023 using bibliometric analysis methods. This study describes the structure and trends using scientific mapping and analysis on dual career athlete publications. The bibliometric analysis carried out produces trends in research years, the most published authors, countries conducting research, keyword analysis and finally trend analysis of themes and topics. The findings in this study are that in 2012 there was one article about dual career athletes. There are 191 documents published by 84 journals with 160 authors, there are 45 countries that conduct research on dual career athletes with the most publications by Spain, namely 45 articles. The author who published the most articles is Ryba, T.V., which is 13 articles. The increase in dual career athlete research occurred in 2020, namely during the covid-19 pandemic. Then it increased and the peak of the most research was in 2022, namely 35 studies.

Abstract

Background: This study aims to describe and compare the physiological characteristics of junior men’s and women’s doubles athletes in badminton. Methods: Testing consists of anthropometric and physical ability tests. Anthropometry includes height, weight, BMI, fat mass, muscle mass. Physical ability tests include handgrip, sit & reach, counter movement jump, stroke stand balance, whole body reaction, 10m sprint, ilinois agility test, VO2max (multi stage sprint), anaerobic capacity (RAST Test). Statistical analysis using normality test and paired t-test. Results: The results showed significant differences in almost all anthropometric tests except BMI. There are significant differences in the components of hand grip ability, CMJ, 10m sprint, VO2max, anaerobic capacity and there are no significant differences in sit & reach ability, balance, reaction and agility. Conclusions: By utilizing all the findings, practical suggestions can be designed for junior badminton athlete coaches.
