Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model  kontekstual pada siswa kelas III Sekolah Dasar Negeri 06 Singkawang Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, sedangkan bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas, dalam pelaksanaannya berkolaborasi dengan teman sejawat. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas III yang berjumlah 24 orang. Teknik pengumpul data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi langsung dan komunikasi tidak langsung. Sedangkan alat pengumpul data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi. Penalitian ini dilaksanakan  sebanyak tiga siklus. Prosedur penelitian menggunakan tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah aktivitas siswa siklus I 54 %, siklus II 62,39 %,  dan siklus III 90,27 %, meningkat 36,27 %. Dengan menggunakan model kontekstual dapat meningkatkan aktifitas siswa pada pembelajaran matematika  kelas III Sekolah Dasar Negeri 06 Singkawang Barat.   Kata kunci: Aktivitas, Pembelajaran, matematika,   Kontekstual.   Abstract: The purpose of this research was to describe the increase in the activity of learning mathematics model of contextual learning in class III Elementary School 06 West Singkawang. The method used in this study is descriptive, while the study is a form of action research, in collaboration with colleagues implementation. The subjects were students of class III, amounting to 24 people. Techniques for collecting data in this study is the technique of direct observation and indirect communication. While the data collection tool used in this study is the observation sheet. This Penalitian conducted three cycles. Research procedures using the planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Results obtained is student activity 54% first cycle, second cycle 62.39%, 90.27% and third cycle, increased 36.27%. By using contextual model can increase the activity of students in learning mathematics class III Elementary School 06 West Singkawang. Keywords: Learning Activities, mathematics, Contextual Model.

Abstract

This study identifies the issue of low student motivation in science subjects among fifth-grade students at SDN Mawar 8 Banjarmasin. Contributing factors include students' lack of enthusiasm, low curiosity, and passive attitudes during the learning process. To address this problem, the study implemented Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) models. The objective of the research was to analyze students' learning motivation in science subjects. The research utilized Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted over four sessions. The subjects of the study were 12 fifth-grade students from SDN Mawar 8 Banjarmasin during the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The data collected were qualitative, obtained through observations of student motivation. The results indicate that teacher activity improved from a score of 17 in the first meeting to 30 in the fourth meeting. Student activity also showed a significant increase from 33% in the first meeting to 92% in the fourth meeting, reaching very active criteria. Students' learning motivation improved from 25% in the first meeting to 100% in the fourth meeting, achieving very high criteria. Additionally, student learning outcomes improved from 17% to 100%.
