Abstract

Honesty is defined as the similarity between what is said or done in reality and what is in someone's heart and thoughts. This trustworthy character serves as a basis for the development of other pupils' personalities. Various endeavors and efforts were made to establish this honesty character starting at the elementary school level, secondary school level, and finally senior secondary school level.The following are the goals of this research: 1) To learn about MA Ahmad Yani Jabung's efforts to develop honest character education. 2) To explain the implications of implementing honest character education in MA Ahmad Yani Jabung In order to achieve the research objectives above, in this study the approach used is qualitative by applying descriptive methods. The data collection techniques used are through interviews, observation, and documentation. Analysis of the data used in the form of data collection, data description, and drawing conclusions. The following are examples of research findings that can be written by researchers: efforts to implement through madrasah programs, namely: 1) A personality library 2) Consistent inspections and attendance. The following is an example of honest character: 1) Conducting madrasa activities without supervision 2) Collecting smartphones before learning 3) Returning books on time 4) Reasons for not entering the permit being consistent with the actual conditions. The following are the effects of adopting honest character at MA Ahmad Yani Jabung on students' character and personalities: 1) the habit of honest behavior, whether supervised or not, 2) not lying, and 3) morals formation. Abstrak Kejujuran adalah persamaan antara realita yang diucapkan atau yang diperbuat seseorang dengan apa yang ada dalam hati dan benak seseorang. Karakter jujur ini juga menjadi pondasi untuk membangun karakter-karakter peserta didik yang lainnya. Berbagai upaya dan usaha dilakukan untuk mengimplementasikan karakter kejujuran ini mulai dari tingkat pendidikan dasar, tingkat pendidikan menengah hingga tingkat pendidikan menengah atas. Pada penelitian ini memiliki tujuan sebagai berikut : 1) Untuk mengetahui upaya implementasi pendidikan karakter jujur di MA Ahmad Yani Jabung. 2) Untuk mengetahui implikasi implementasi pendidikan karakter jujur di MA Ahmad Yani Jabung. Guna mencapai tujuan penelitian diatas maka pada penelitian ini pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dengan menerapkan metode deskriptif. Adapun pengumpulan data yang teknik digunakan yaitu melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan berupa pengumpulan data, deskripsi data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yang dapat dituliskan oleh peneliti adalah sebagai berikut :upaya implementasi melalui program madarasah yaitu : 1) Perpustakaan mandiri 2) Absensi dan pemeriksaan berulang. Bentuk karakter jujur adalah sebagai berikut : 1) Melaksanakan kegiatan madrasah tanpa pengawasan 2) Mengumpuulkan hp sebelum pembelajaran 3) Mengembalikan buku tepat waktu 4) Kesesuaian alasan izin tidak masuk dengan kondisi sebenarnya. Implikasi dari implementasi karakter jujur pada MA Ahmad Yani Jabung terhadap akhlak dan kepribadian peserta didik yaitu: 1) Kebiasaan berperilaku jujur baik diawasi atau tidak 2) Tidak melakukan kebohongan 3) Terbentuknya akhlakul karimah.

Abstract

Background. The spread of the COVID-19 virus has resulted in unprecedented measures such as restricting travel and social activity in many countries. Physical distancing is critical to fighting COVID-19 and is expected to continue for some time. Objective.The aim of the study was to assess the determinants of physical distancing behavior of university students of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Method. This study used an observational analytic method with cross-sectional study design. A total of 417 respondents was selected by using voluntary sampling method. Information was collected online using google form in April 2020. Data were analysed using a multiple logistic regression test. Results. Good physical distancing behavior carried out by 55.9% of students. The results of multivariate analysis showed that factors associated with physical distancing behavior were female gender (OR=3.438, 95% CI: 2.037-5.804), good knowledge of physical distancing (OR=1.757, 95% CI: 1.057-2.919), and family support (OR=1.854, 95% CI: 1.219-2.819). Meanwhile, support from community leaders was not significantly related to physical distancing behavior (OR=1.469, 95% CI: 0.961-2.246). Conclusion. Uptake of physical distancing behavior needs to increase. Female university students were better at uptaking physical distancing behavior. Family support and knowledge about physical distancing effect the uptake of physical distancing behavior.
