Abstract

An inspiriting factor in making a hydrology model especially rain water transformation datamodel to become debit data is debit accumulation handicap. Sugawara cube model is one of conceptualmodels which has concept rain water stream process become a river stream is analogized as astream through the parallel cube. The approach of cube model can be done in seri, parallel, or themixed.Modeling simulation processes will produce parameters or coefficients of cube model makethe cube model and its parameters can show the condition of river stream area.Three parallel cubes have 14 chosen parameters. The solution is optimizing it to get optimalparameter that can represent a DAS modeled. Algoritma Genetik can be used in the optimizationprocess; it shows the effectiveness and the capacity to determine parameter. The result of theanalysis of 2 DAS shows that the cube model with 3parallel cube represents the correlation ofclimate data and water debit with good process., model gives good trend in fluctuate debit of water.This optimizing technique is covered in Mantlab programming language which is ready to be developedin another DAS.Key word : Hydrology model, 3 Parallel cube model, Parameter, Optimize, Algoritma Genetik

Abstract

An experiment was conducted to hydrolyze waste of beer industry using papain to produce peptone. Papain with activity of 691.5 units based on casein substrat was used in this experiment. Results showed that optimum conditions for hydrolysis processes were as follows : substrate concentration 3.2%, papain concentration 0.4%, temperature 60-70OC, pH 6.0, hydrolysis time 5 hours. With 5 liter fermentation jar as much as 3.8 liter of hydrolyzate could be produced with 19.23% of peptone. The resulting peptone had the following characteristics : solubility 90.7%, N-amino 3.25%, N-total 11.23%, protein 70.19%, water 5.5% and ash 7.9%. This peptone gave the same effectivity for bacterial growth as that fron commercial Bacto peptone and Yeast extract to support the bacterial growth. Abstract

Students have problems speaking skills and creative thinking. Speaking considered difficult in learning activities in the classroom. To overcome this problem researchers conduct application-oriented character initiation debate in grade five elementary schools. This study aimed to obtain concrete evidence and describe the process of learning by using debate in the classroom so that an increase in student learning outcomes and responses to learning activities. This research method is quasi-experimental. This research was conducted at SDN 7 Hegarsari and involves 66 students consisting of 33 students and 33 students experimental class control. Research data in the form of pretest and posttest scores were analyzed using t-test. Based on data analysis, conclusions obtained by the average value of n-gain scores in the experimental class (0.50) is higher than the value of the average scores on the class n-gain control (0.35). Statistically significant difference between the two scores, the probability value obtained is smaller than the level specified significant (0.023 < 0.05). Students give a positive response to the learning process and it can be concluded that the application of effective character-oriented initiation debate improves speaking skills and creative thinking of students.
