Abstract

This paper purposes to discuss how the hermeneutical model offered by Muhammad Syahrur in understanding the Koran, namely the theory of hudud and examples of its application in responding to problems in society. This research is included in the type of qualitative research using literature study methods. The method used in the analysis is a descriptive method of analysis through Muhammad Syahrur's limitation theory approach. The result of this study is that Syahrur's Hermeneutics, in this case is the hudūd theory, which is a completely new and original concept in the study of interpretation. Boundary theory introduces a construction in understanding the verses of muhkamat (law) where it states that in the process, there are two main dimensional movements in Islamic teachings, namely istiqamah and hanifiyyah. Istiqamah (constant movement) is a rule that has been established by Allah SWT and hanfiyyah is a change from time and place that is always dynamic. So that the ijtihad space is carried out as the hanifiyyah progresses but remains under the decree (hudud) of Allah SWT. An example of applying this concept is when understanding the verses about the headscarf and female genitalia. Based on Syahrur's observations, the minimum limits for a woman's private parts are al juyub (breasts, genitals, under the armpits and buttocks) while the maximum limits are the entire body except the face and palms. However, Syahrur's understanding certainly has quite risky consequences when applied to the present. Even though he received a lot of criticism, Syahrur's idea certainly became a breakthrough in Islamic thought which has a desire to be the answer to problems in society.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menelaah corak tafsir falsafi meliputi sejarah kemunculan tafsir falsafi, batasan tafsir falsafi, perdebatan ulama tentang tafsir falsafi, dan kitab-kitab tafsir yang bercorak falsafi. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dengan melalui studi kepustakaan dengan pendekatan sejarah dan tafsir. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah bahwa Tafsir Falsafi adalah salah satu corak penafsiran yang menggunakan teori-teori dan pendekatan filsafat. Sejarah kemunculan corak falsafi ini bermula pada dinasti Abbasiyah dimana pada kekhalifahan Al-Manshur, banyak sekali buku-buku filsafat yang diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Arab sehingga menyebabkan masuknya kajian-kajian filsafat ke dalam dunia Islam terkhusus pada khazanah penafsiran Al-Quran. Adapun batasan dalam tafsir falsafi meliputi pembahasan-pembahasan seputar filsafat seperti wujud tuhan, sifat-sifat Allah, dan juga terkait ayat-ayat mutasyabihat. Corak tafsir falsafi tentunya menuai pro dan kontra, di antaranya yang menolak adalah karena corak falsafi menggunakan akal dan teori-teori filsafat yang bertentangan dengan ajaran dan aqidah Islam. Adapun yang mendukung adalah karena mereka menganggap ada titik temu antara filsafat dengan agama dan juga tafsir. Kitab-kitab yang bercorak falsafi di antaranya adalah kitab Fushus Al-Hikam karya Al-Farabi, Rasail Ibnu Sina, Rasail Ikhwan As-Shafa, Mafatih Al-Ghaib karya Fakhrudin Ar Razi dan Tafsir Al Mizan karya Thabathaba’i. Penelitian sederhana ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat besar bagi para pengkaji Al-Quran dan tafsirnya.

Abstract

This article aims to discuss two Sufi interpretations, namely al Jailani's interpretation by Syekh Abdul Qadir al Jailani and al Qusyairi's interpretation of Lathaif al Isyarat on the interpretation of QS. Al-Ahzab: 56 regarding blessings. The discussion includes the terminology of shalawat, the biographies of al Jailani and al Qusyairi, the characteristics of al Jailani's interpretation and al Qusyairi's interpretation, as well as the results of a comparison between the two. This research is included in qualitative research with literature study method. As well as the muqaran method in the analysis process. The results of this study are that in the interpretation of QS. Al Ahzab: 56 there are similarities and differences between the interpretations of al Jailani and al Qusyairi. The similarities are found on the side of the book of interpretation, in the form of sources, methods, and ittijah. The difference is in the purpose of writing, the meaning of the sign, and the style of language. Al Jailani aims to liberate the minds of the younger generation from moral decline as well as trying to uncover the meanings of the contents of the Koran. Meanwhile, al Qusyairi aims to reveal the meanings of the Koran according to ma'rifat experts in a concise manner so as not to be boring. In QS. Al Ahzab: 56, al Jailani places more emphasis on the obligation to pray to the Prophet SAW as a form of respect and exaltation. Meanwhile, al Qusyairi mentions that prayer is a tribute as well as asking for intercession from the Prophet SAW. Al Jailani's language style is more assertive in terms of the purpose of writing, while al Qusyairi is softer based on the purpose of writing.

Abstract

Social media's rapid growth has transformed communication, but neglecting ethical principles rooted in the Quran, like those explained in the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs' Thematic Tafsir, has led to issues such as misinformation, conflict, and privacy breaches. This qualitative library research uses descriptive analysis to highlight the importance of Quran-based ethics in social media. It identifies five key principles: caution and responsibility, verifying information (tabayyun), constructive communication, avoiding prejudice and gossip, and protecting privacy. The study offers actionable guidelines for fostering responsible and ethical social media use, promoting harmony and accountability in digital interactions.
