Abstract

One problem in developing macadamia in Indonesia is the limited availability of good quality seed. Viability of the seed is easily lost and erratic, and the seed has long dormancy periods. The objective of the study was to find a method for enhancing germination percentage of macadamia seed. The study evaluated different pretreatments of macadamia seeds before planting. The pretreatments were period of fermentation, i.e., 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 daysone day each soakingdrying-soakingone day each drying-soaking-dryingand alternate drying-soaking until the seeds were cracked. The treatments were arranged in completely randomized design. Results showed that no treatment significantly affected percentage of seed germination, index of speed of germination, number of leaves, and dehydrogenase enzyme activity, but treatments significantly affected seedling height and electric conductivity of seed leakage solution. Seed germination percentage ranged from 66.67 to 86.67.

Abstract

Jahe putih besar merupakan salah satu komoditas ekspor Indonesiadengan area pengembangan pada tahun 2010 mencapai 6.053 hadan kebutuhan benih jahe berupa rimpang 12.106 ton/tahun. Pasarekspor jahe menghendaki kesinambungan pasokan produk denganmutu hasil yang tinggi. Hal ini menuntut penyediaan benih yangberproduktivitas tinggi dengan kualitas produk yang baik. Namun,penyediaan benih bermutu masih menjadi salah satu kendala dalamusaha tani jahe di Indonesia sehingga petani menggunakan benihasalan yang kualitasnya kurang terjamin. Produksi dan pengelolaanbenih jahe dalam skala industri belum umum diusahakan meskipunteknologi produksi benih jahe unggul berkualitas tinggi telahtersedia. Nilai ekonomi industri benih jahe cukup menarik untukpengembangan agribisnis baru. Industri benih jahe dapat dijalankandengan memerhatikan seluruh aspek produksi dan pengelolaan,yang meliputi varietas unggul, teknik perbanyakan, panen, prosesingdan sortasi, perlakuan benih, pengemasan, penyimpanan danpemasaran, dengan pengawasan mutu dan distribusi yang ketat.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis implementasi gaya kepemimpinan transformasional yang diterapkan oleh Kepala Madrasah Aliyah Al Hadi Girikusuma. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, melibatkan wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen terkait kepemimpinan di madrasah tersebut. Data dianalisis secara tematik untuk mengidentifikasi penerapan empat prinsip dasar kepemimpinan transformasional, yaitu pengaruh ideal (idealized influence), inspirasi motivasi (inspirational motivation), rangsangan intelektual (intellectual stimulation), dan pertimbangan individual (individualized consideration). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala madrasah berhasil menciptakan lingkungan yang inklusif dan partisipatif, memotivasi guru dan staf melalui komunikasi efektif, serta mendorong inovasi dalam pengelolaan pendidikan. Implementasi kepemimpinan transformasional ini berdampak positif pada peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dan pengelolaan madrasah secara keseluruhan. Kesimpulannya, gaya kepemimpinan transformasional Kepala Madrasah Aliyah Al Hadi Girikusuma efektif dalam meningkatkan kinerja madrasah dan mendukung terciptanya suasana pendidikan yang inovatif dan adaptif. Kata-kata Kunci: Kepemimpinan transformasional, Kepala Madrasah, inovasi pendidikan.
