Abstract

Online learning is currently considered a new paradigm in teaching and learning activities where in the process of teaching and learning activities there is no need to be present in the class room. To find out the situation in the online learning process, it is necessary to have the perception so responses from teachers and students to the online learning process. This study aims' to determine teachers’ perceptions about the online learning process in biology subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Luwuk, and students’ perceptions about the online learning process in biology subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Luwuk. This is a descriptive qualitative research. The study population was 4 biology teachers and 214 students and the sample size was 2 biology teachers and 67 students. Data collection techniques used are interviews and instruments. Data were analyzed by useng descriptive qualitative methods. The results showed there are still many obstacles faced by teachers that result in the online learning procesa not running effectively so that teachers need support fromall parties so tha ty the online learning procces can be carried out properly and students preceptions about the online learning process in biology are very good. Abstract

Abstract: Project Based Learning (PjBL) is a student-centered learning model aimed at fostering a more disciplined and creative attitude, active learning so that it influences student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the 1 Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on learning outcomes on biodiversity material in class X MIPA SMA Negeri 6 Taliabu Island. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a pretest and posttest control grup design. The research was conducted in the odd semester of 2022/2023. The population of the study was all student of class X MIPA SMA Negeri 6 Taliabu. The sampel consisted of 2 classes, class X MIPA 1 was gathered by 10 people as the control class, and class MIPA 2 was gathered by 19 people as the experimental class. The data analysis technique used the normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test using the SPSS application. The results showed that there was no significant effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on the learning outcomes of class X MIPA students at SMA Negeri 6 Taliabu Island with a t-count < t-table, namely 0.198 < 1.703 and a significant value of 0.844 > 0.05. This study can be concluded that it rejected, and stated there is on significant effect of used Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on student learning outcomes on biodiversity material in class X MIPA SMA Negeri 6 Taliabu Island.

Abstract

Teacher professional competence refers to the abilities, knowledge and skills possessed by teachers in carrying out the learning process. This research aims to determine the relationship between biology teachers' professional competence and student learning outcomes at SMAS GKLB Luwuk. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. Data was collected through a questionnaire filled in by 30 students as respondents. The results of the research show that there is a significant positive relationship between the professional competence of biology teachers and student learning outcomes. The higher the teacher's professional competence, the better the student learning outcomes as reflected in their academic scores. These findings emphasize the importance of developing teacher professional competence as a key factor in improving the quality of education and student learning outcomes in schools. Recommendations from this research include the need for ongoing training and development programs for biology teachers to improve their skills and knowledge.
