Abstract

This study explores the epistemological transformation in Islamic educational philosophy by examining the trajectory from conservative theological frameworks to rational-spiritual and transformative-pragmatic paradigms. Employing a qualitative-descriptive approach through in-depth library research, this article analyzes the conceptual contributions of key figures such as al-Ghazali, Ikhwan al-Shafa, and Ibn Khaldun. The findings indicate that the conservative stream upholds hierarchical classifications of knowledge grounded in scriptural absolutism, whereas the rationalist-religious school advances epistemic potential through the actualization of reason and intellect. Meanwhile, the pragmatic approach advocated by Ibn Khaldun offers a functionalist view of education aligned with sociological needs and empirical realities. Through thematic content analysis, this research affirms the dynamic adaptability of Islamic educational philosophy in addressing the complexities of contemporary civilization. It concludes that an integrative synthesis of ontology, epistemology, and axiology across these philosophical streams can foster a holistic educational model that is both faithful to Islamic tradition and responsive to global intellectual challenges.

Abstract

This study explores the dialectical relationship between Islamic philosophy and education in constructing a value-based educational system grounded in the principle of tawḥīd (Divine Unity). The research adopts a qualitative, philosophical-hermeneutic approach that is reflective, analytical, and interpretative in nature. It critically examines the ontological, epistemological, and axiological dimensions of Islamic education as conceptualized within the framework of Islamic philosophy. The findings demonstrate that education in Islam is not merely a cognitive transmission of knowledge, but a holistic transformation of the self rooted in metaphysical awareness and spiritual development. Islamic philosophy provides the epistemic foundation that integrates revelation, reason, and human experience into a unified educational paradigm. In contrast to secular Western models that emphasize instrumental rationality and material outcomes, the Islamic educational vision aims to cultivate the insān kāmil—a complete human being—by harmonizing intellectual, moral, and spiritual faculties. The study argues that the Islamization of education is imperative to resist epistemological alienation and restore education's transcendental purpose. Through a critical synthesis of classical and contemporary Islamic thought, this research reaffirms the urgency of grounding educational systems in Islamic metaphysics and ethical values to nurture learners who are not only knowledgeable but also spiritually conscious and socially responsible.

Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of child marriage in Indonesia, specifically in Wajo Regency, South Sulawesi. The findings reveal that the practice of child marriage remains a serious problem that requires urgent attention from various stakeholders. Collaboration between religious leaders (ulama) and government officials (umara) is key in reducing the prevalence of child marriage. Through various education programs, socialization, and law enforcement, it is hoped that public awareness of the negative impacts of child marriage can be increased. The study found that child marriage not only violates children's rights but also contradicts the objectives of Islamic law. Although marriage aims to establish a harmonious family, early marriage can hinder the achievement of this goal. Children who marry at a young age lack the physical, mental, and emotional maturity required for married life. This research highlights the importance of the roles of government, religious institutions, and the community in preventing and addressing child marriage. Efforts that need to be undertaken include improving the quality of education, providing reproductive health services for adolescents, and strengthening law enforcement against perpetrators of child marriage. It is hoped that these efforts will lead to a decrease in the number of child marriages in Indonesia, particularly in Wajo Regency

Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of online lending (Pinjol) that has become increasingly prevalent in recent times, characterized by its ease and speed in serving people who need money through rapid lending processes. Various needs of lower and middle-class communities are diverse, ranging from business requirements, entrepreneurial ventures, to urgent needs that cannot be avoided at certain times. The need of borrowers (creditors) to obtain loans from lenders (debtors) is certainly driven by necessity, and religion tolerates assisting those in need, as stated in the Qur'an. Creditors offer various forms of quick and easy facilities without difficulty, which appears to be beneficial (maslahah) for debtors. However, the benefits offered by lenders (debtors) through online platforms are not entirely within the context of maslahah. Various harms (mafsadah) and gaps in society have been found, such as reports of fraud (gharar), threats, and other issues experienced by victims who borrow (creditors). This research employs library research methodology, which is a series of efforts or activities that explore data collection through literature related to this study. This work draws from the Qur'an, tafsir (Qur'anic exegesis), books, articles, and relevant websites related to this theme. Therefore, this study examines the appropriate principles when observing the reality occurring in society, particularly in online lending (Pinjol). Based on various real elements, online lending does not fully guarantee maslahah within it; analyzing maslahah and mafsadah aspects is crucial as a reference in lending and borrowing practices. The concern is that the dangers and threats far outweigh the comfort, pleasure, and happiness without threats. The theoretical framework employed is Al-Taraki's theory (b. 1917 CE - d. 1979 CE), which explains that maslahah is a characteristic found in legal arrangements for mukallaf (legally responsible individuals) in the form of drawing benefits and rejecting all forms of harm. Additionally, this study analyzes Qur'anic verse al-Baqarah/2: 245 as a form of reward or recompense from Allah, comparing lenders (debtors) who create difficulties experienced by borrowers (creditors).

Abstract

Digital transformation has driven significant changes in the delivery of public services. In the era of e-government, service digitalization is aimed at creating a bureaucracy that is more transparent, efficient, and responsive. One of the most complex stages in e-government is transact, namely the phase of data exchange and electronic transactions between citizens and the government. The high sensitivity of data at this stage makes security a crucial factor. This study aims to analyze electronic transaction security strategies in e-government comprehensively. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature study (library research) method. The findings show that electronic transaction security in e-government is supported by the use of various technologies, including encryption, digital signatures, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), firewalls, biometric authentication, and blockchain to ensure data confidentiality and reliability, as well as strong regulations such as the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE) and the Personal Data Protection Law. In addition, the readiness of human resources, both from the government and the public, is also a determining factor for success, particularly in the areas of digital literacy, information security training, and a risk-aware work culture. These three aspects complement one another in building a reliable security system.

Abstract

This study examines the values of moderation in Pappaseng Ogi (Bugis traditional wisdom) and their correlation with Quranic teachings in the context of fostering harmonious societal living. Employing content analysis methodology, this research aims to explore the role of Pappaseng Ogi as a medium for disseminating humanistic values and civilizational principles. The findings reveal a significant congruence between the moderation values inherent in Pappaseng Ogi and the principles of moderation espoused in the Quran. The study successfully identifies five key values of Pappaseng Ogi: assiwollong-pollongeng, assisompungeng, assipakalebbireng, assiamase-maseng, and assifakario-riongeng, which potentially constitute a culture-based model of moderation. These findings demonstrate how indigenous wisdom can be integrated with universal teachings to cultivate moderation and social harmony. This research contributes to the development of a culturally-rooted understanding of religious moderation, with potential practical applications in building social cohesion, promoting tolerance, and managing conflicts. While primarily focused on Bugis society, the findings suggest potential adaptability to other cultural contexts, thus offering broader implications for the study of religious moderation in diverse societies
