Abstract

This paper discusses the implementation of Indonesian parliamentary diplomacy when Indonesia became the leader of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) (2011-2012). In the same period, Indonesia also assumed the chairmanship of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Developed from the concept of multi-track diplomacy and total diplomacy, the authors highlight how the House of Representatives of Republic Indonesia (DPR-RI) plays a role in a track 11⁄2 diplomacy. The authors argue that DPR-RI's active participation is essential to oversee national compliance on international legal norms and rules through the case of AIPA.

Abstract

Jurnal ini bertujuan menuliskan mengenai kegiatan diplomasi yang dilakukan China ketika masa pandemi yang menyebabkan penguncian total di seluruh negara. Paper ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data secara studi kepustakaan. Temuan dalam jurnal ini berisi mengenai diplomasi China terhadap negara-negara lain yang dilakukan secara virtual dengan menggunakan tautan video sehingga bisa disebut sebagai diplomasi awan. Memanfaatkan teknologi awan ketika masa pandemi membuat China bisa tetap melakukan kegiatan kenegaraan ketika terjadi pembatasan hingga penguncian ketika pandemi Covid-19. Penguncian yang disebabkan oleh pandemi Covid-19 membuat semua orang membutuhkan internet untuk bisa tetap berkomunikasi hingga lintas negara, dan teknologi awan yang berbasis internet memudahkan untuk tetap berkegiatan dari mana saja karena bisa terhubung selama ada internet.

Abstract

This article analyzes how BYD's expansion strategy in the Indonesian market is optimized through the use of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) instruments during the 2023–2025 period. This research adopts a qualitative method. The growing competition in Indonesia’s Electric Vehicle (EV) market is driven by several factors, such as the absence of vehicle exhaust emissions, government incentives in the form of tax reductions for electric vehicles, exemption from odd-even traffic restrictions, and various other conveniences. As a leading electric vehicle manufacturer from China, BYD also aims to take part in the growing EV market in Indonesia. However, in the process, BYD faces challenges in entering the rapidly developing Indonesian EV sector. This study applies a qualitative method using a case study approach, examining foreign investment policies, government regulations, and the economic and infrastructure factors that support BYD’s successful investment in Indonesia. The findings indicate that the optimization of FDI through fiscal incentives, strategic partnerships with local companies, and the strengthening of domestic supply chains are key factors supporting BYD’s expansion. In addition, increasingly favorable regulations, such as tax incentive policies and the development of the EV ecosystem, also play a role in enhancing investment attractiveness. However, challenges such as bureaucratic hurdles, infrastructure readiness, and competition with other brands remain obstacles to be addressed. With the right strategy, BYD can leverage FDI as a key instrument to accelerate its expansion in Indonesia and solidify its position as a major player in the global electric vehicle industry.

Abstract

Upaya diplomasi kebudayaan Indonesia dalam meningkatkan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara asal Brunei Darussalam dengan diplomasi kebudayaan selama periode 2017-2019. Brunei Darussalam merupakan negara yang memiliki potensi dalam spending per visit yang cukup besar, namun pada tahun 2017-2018 jumlah kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara asal Brunei Darussalam mengalami penurunan. Penelitian ini menggunakan data dari pengumpulan data yang bersifat sekunder dengan studi kepustakaan seperti, sumber jurnal, buku, dokumen, makalah dan  beberapa berita yang bersumber dari internet yang berkaitan dengan penelitian.  Hasil yang didapat yaitu beberapa kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Indonesia untuk meningkatkan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara Brunei Darussalam dengan instrumen Diplomasi budaya, dengan nation branding sebagai instrumen utama, kegiatan tersebut meliputi Festival music dan kuliner, dibukanya rute penerbangan Brunei Darussalam- Balikpapan, Familirization Trip (Famtrip) , pertunjukan seni. Lalu di tahun 2019 terjadi kenaikan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara yang berasal dari Brunei Darussalam ditahun 2019 yakni sejumlah 19.278 masyarakat Brunei Darussalam yang berkunjung ke Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini secara garis besar menyoroti fenomena glokalisasi dalam implementasi kebijakan Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif yang menggunakan metode pengumpulan data sekunder dan memiliki tujuan utama untuk meninjau, mendalami, serta menganalisa penerapan fenomena glokalisasi dalam pengimplementasian kebijakan Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP) dengan meninjau kedua sisi, yaitu sisi global dan sisi lokal kebijakan Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP). Tujuan tambahan penelitian ini adalah; (1) Untuk memahami definisi umum dan penerapan pendekatan-pendekatan feminisme dalam praktik penerapan kebijakan Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP), (2) Menganalisa kontribusi kebijakan Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP) terhadap pencapaian Proyek Pembangunan Berkelanjutan PBB, dan (3) Menambah wawasan pembaca mengenai kebijakan Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP), serta kajian-kajian glokalisasi, gender, feminisme, dan Proyek Pembangunan Berkelanjutan PBB dalam studi Hubungan Internasional. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan sisi global kebijakan Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP) tercermin dari tertuangnya nilai-nilai feminisme dan prinsip 3R (Women’s Rights, Resources, and Representation) milik kebijakan luar negeri feminis Swedia dalam implementasi setiap area-area aksi kebijakan Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP). Penelitian ini juga mengemukakan bahwa sisi lokal kebijakan Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP) dapat diamati dari; (1) Fokus kebijakan Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP) yang hanya menekankan pada bidang bantuan internasional dan bersifat transformatif, (2) Aspek lingkungan dalam kebijakan Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP) yang tercermin dari adanya area aksi keempat, yaitu aksi lingkungan dan iklim, dan (3) Setiap area aksi kebijakan Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP) secara spesifik berusaha untuk mencapai target-target Proyek Pembangunan Berkelanjutan PBB (The Sustainable Development Goals/SDGs)

Abstract

ABSTRACTKosovo is a country from Yugoslavia. The Kosovo conflict is a major conflict involving ethnic Albanians and Serbs. In 1999 NATO entered to resolve the conflict with the United Nations. Which makes Kosovo have the opportunity to be independent. In 2008 Kosovo declared its independence in the Kosovo Assembly. And now Kosovo is trying to build an international image and sees sport as an opportunity to bulid an image. Kosovo formed The Olympic Committee of Kosovo (OCK) to participate in Olympic organization IOC (International Olympic Committee). In 2014 IOC issued full acknowledgment of OCK and allowed Kosovo to appear at the 2016 Rio Olympics. According to the IOC, OCK has fulfilled the requirements of the Olympic Charter which contains technically that IOC members are independent countries and internationally recognized. Kosovo also joined FIFA and UEFA in 2016 through voting by member countries. This study uses a literature study method with secondary qualitative data analysis techniques. Through the data that will be elaborated with the theory of sports diplomacy which is then described through the process of image, namely strategy, substance, and symbolic action. Abstract

This study aims to find out what efforts have been driven by the ARMY Help Center to encourage changes in the stigma of BTS or ARMY fanaticism that has grown in society. BTS's first win at an international music award event made many people hate BTS. This has an impact on BTS fans, namely ARMY. ARMY felt a lot of blasphemy from BTS haters because they considered cheating in BTS' winning results. The worsening condition of the ARMY's mental health led one ARMY to form a social movement organization with a focus on improving mental health, namely the ARMY Help Center. With the same identity, a collective identity is formed to voice the importance of mental health. Their agenda has helped ARMY and people in need, such as holding mental health help services, social media campaigns, conducting webinars, discussions, and conferences on mental health, and writing and publishing books related to mental health. This research is descriptive and qualitative in nature. For data collection techniques using interview methods and data through written sources, for example, notes, transcripts, books, newspapers, reports, and others. The results of the study show that the agenda that the ARMY Help Center is carrying out can also indirectly break the bad stigma that a K-pop fan is not all fanatical and exaggerated. As a non-state actor, you can create a positive social movement and can help many people who need mental health assistance.
