Abstract

This research aimed to find out types of address terms based on kinship system and the differences of address terms based on culture and value based on kinship system of Malay found in Kabupaten Sarolangun Jambi. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The object of these research are17 participants with 55 recorded conversations.  The data gather by interview and recording of the source conversation. These data were gather and transcript as the instrument to be analyzed about address terms found in Kabupaten Sarolangun. The research data were gained in the form of interpretations of participant recorded conversations and interviews. Based on data analysis, it was found that in Kabupaten Sarolangun, people use address in everyday life such as in conversation, meeting, letter, messages. Most people address their friends and their families  are differently from those they do not know so well, and from those who are in a superior relationship to them such as the school or the boos at work. The type of address found in Kabupaten Sarolangun are : Title and Last Name (TLN), First Name (FN), Title only (T), Last Name (Last Name), Special Nickname, (SN) Special Name, and Kinship Term (KT).  It also found that people in Kabupaten Sarolangu Jambi have different kinds of address based on culture ad value. Furthermore, Each of address and the difference of the usage of address in Kabupaten Sarolanun bring   the relation between the speaker and the listener.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the underlying factors that contribute to the practice of earnings management. The present study employs earnings management as the dependent variable, while incorporating company size, managerial ownership, institutional ownership, profitability, and leverage as independent variables. The present research employs secondary data, specifically financial and annual reports of manufacturing firms that are publicly listed on the IDX, covering the timeframe of 2017-2020. The study employed a purposive sampling technique that involved the application of multiple criteria to select a sample of 199 participants. The employed methodology entails the utilization of multiple linear regression analysis. The findings indicate that earnings management is positively associated with profitability and leverage, while negatively associated with company size. The study found that institutional ownership and managerial ownership do not exert any significant impact on the practice of earnings management.

Abstract

À l'ère de la mondialisation, l'apprentissage des langues étrangères ne se concentre pas uniquement sur les aspects linguistiques, mais également sur la compréhension et la connaissance interculturelles ou la compétence interculturelle. Littératie interculturelle est l'un des moyens d'obtenir la compétence interculturelle dans l'apprentissage des langues étrangères. Cet article vise à comparer et à décrire les similitudes et les différences de trois formes culturelles (idées, activités et objets) de la tradition Ogoh-Ogoh et du Carnaval de Nice contenues dans la couverture médiatique et à analyser comment ces deux traditions peuvent servir de support à la littératie interculturelle dans l'apprentissage interculturel indonésien-français. Cette recherche utilise l’approche qualitative descriptive en prenant le design comparatif. Les données de cette recherche sont des images et des propositions qui ont été obtenues à l’aide des techniques de visionnage et de prise de notes. Les résultats de l'analyse montrent qu'il existe 18 similitudes et 6 différences dans les trois formes culturelles des deux traditions. Les deux traditions peuvent être un moyen d'éduquer les étudiants parce qu'elles contiennent des éléments d'éducation ouverte et peuvent adapter l'économie et l'éducation de la communauté. Les deux traditions contribuent également à l'acquisition de connaissances culturelles et interculturelles. Ainsi, la tradition Ogoh-Ogoh et le Carnaval de Nice peuvent servir de support à la littératie interculturelle franco-indonésienne.
