Abstract

The effect of a humid tropical climate affects urban activities which results in the emergence of heat islands that occur in microclimate areas, especially in urban areas which are synonymous with building density, concrete forests, lots of hard elements such as pavements which cause city temperatures to heat up. This phenomenon also has an impact on the activities that occur in one of the areas that are the research locations in outer space on the Prince Mangkubumi Yogyakarta road with a special location on the pedestrian path. choose the pedestrian path because this path has an environment in the form of open space that is often passed by pedestrians, used for social interaction, a path that has become a tourist destination. This line is also equipped with enclosures in the form of buildings with various heights and functions that coincide with the buildings next to it. The path on this road has vegetation that does not provide enough shade for the pedestrian path along Jalan Pangeran Mangkubumi. Seeing this urgency, thermal comfort testing must be carried out focused on pedestrian paths. The aim of this research is to measure the level of thermal comfort and identify its factors. The research was conducted using the Envi - Met 3.1 software simulation method and then analyzed based on outdoor thermal theories, Urban Heat Island and related articles. The stages of this research were in the form of research preparation in the form of an initial survey, the research stage in the form of data collection (primary and secondary), the analysis stage in the form of modeling simulation using Envi-Met software, and the expected findings emerged. This research tries to provide an overview of the thermal distribution from environmental simulation results and then analyzed. Thermal distribution using the existing condition model, namely the outdoor environment of the pedestrian path on Jalan Pangeran Mangkubumi.

Abstract

Salah satu elemen penting pembentuk citra kota yaitu path dengan tujuan mewujudkan satu kesatuan yang terhubung dan terintegrasi. Penelitian terhadap kualitas Path dapat dibuktikan melalui identifikasi terhadap path, dan penelitian lapangan untuk menverifikasi teori citra kota path dan delapan elemen teori kualitas fisik lingkungan kota. Kotagede merupakan suatu kawasan yang memiliki nilai sejarah dan menjadi kawasan wisata budaya dengan banyak atraksi meliputi wisata sejarah, wisata arsitektur, atraksi buatan sehingga mempunyai identitas dan wajah kota yang kuat dan menarik serta  memiliki daya tarik seperti Pasar Kotagede dan monumen  Ngejaman. Lokasi studi ini menjadi identitas dan menjadi tujuan yang jelas sebagai citra sebuah kota. Maka tujuan penelitian ini, yaitu mengidentifikasi kejelasan fisik path dan fisik lingkungan koridor. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif eksploratif dengan teknik pengumpulan data primer dan data sekunder kemudian analisis. Temuan penelitian merupakan hasil analisis citra kota path dan kualitas fisik lingkungan kota dan didapatkan bahwa terdapat kejelasan kualitas kondisi fisik koridor mempengaruhi kejelasan fisik Path. Simpulan yang didapat yaitu terdapat kesamaan citra kota path dan kualitas fisik lingkungan kota terhadap lokasi penelitian, path di koridor ini jelas dan kuat, kualitas fisik lingkungan kota yaitu delapan element dari Hamid Shirvani terhadap lokasi penelitian terlihat jelas dan mempengaruhi kejelasan Path.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------One of the essential elements forming the city's image is the path to realizing a connected and integrated whole. Research on the quality of the path can be proven by identifying the path. Then,  field research to verify the theory of the path city image and the eight elements of the theory of the physical quality of the urban environment. Kotagede is an area that has historical value and has become cultural tourism. That location has many attractions, including historical tourism, architectural tourism, and artificial attractions, so it has a strong and attractive identity and face of the city and attractions such as the Kotagede Market and the Ngejaman monument. The location of this study becomes an identity and a clear goal as an image of a city. So the purpose of this study is to identify the path's physical clarity and the corridor's physical environment. The research method uses descriptive exploratory with primary data collection techniques, secondary data, and then analysis. The research findings are the results of the analysis of the image of the city path and the physical quality of the city environment, and it is found that there is clarity in the quality of the physical condition of the corridor affecting the physical clarity of the path. The conclusions obtained are that there are similarities in the image of the city path and the physical quality of the city environment to the research location, the path in this corridor is clear and strong. The physical quality of the city environment, namely the eight elements from Hamid Shirvani to the research location, is visible and affects the path's clarity.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to transfer knowledge of organic waste, through two aspects, namely the social aspect of society regarding awareness in processing waste and there is a production aspect through organic waste processing techniques. This activity is motivated by the problem of partners with the condition of household waste disposal, especially organic waste, then partners do not have the knowledge and skills, and the lack of adequate equipment for waste processing. The method is in the form of training through socialization of the importance of the potential of organic waste to become compost by providing knowledge through material through the display of images and training methods by providing organic waste processing techniques. The results of this community service activity were improved knowledge and skills in organic waste processing using biopore pipe technology. The conclusion of this community service activity was that the application of biopore pipe technology had a positive impact on increasing the capacity of partner groups in managing organic waste, including reducing the waste burden in their respective communities. Training using community-based methods can be an effective strategy for training in the application of biopore pipe technology.
