Abstract

The low mathematical disposition of students is the background of this study. The aim is to analyze the mathematical disposition of students through a set of mathematical disposition scales using the Likert scale. 2 classes were taken as research samples through simple random sampling techniques. The research design used was Posttest-Only Control Design. The method used was the quasi-experimental method. The data analysis technique was descriptive statistics, then the Mann Whitney non-parametric test was carried out. A conclusion was obtained that the mathematical disposition of students with the application of the VBL method was better than the mathematical disposition of students with the application of the conventional method where the class with the VBL method showed a percentage of 76% in the moderate category and the class with the conventional method showed a percentage of 60% in the poor category.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze student self-efficacy where the research subjects are third semester students of Nurtanio University Bandung in the Integral Calculus course. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method where the sample is taken using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the study show that in general the majority of students in the Integral Calculus course have self-efficacy in the medium category, which is 53.33% of the total number of students with the conclusion that most of the self-efficacy in the magnitude and generality dimensions shows a medium category of 70% and 56.67% of the total number of students, while most of the students' self-efficacy in the strength dimension shows a high category of 40% of the total number of students.   Keywords : Self-Efficacy; Integral Calculus; Student

Abstract

This PKM activity has promising prospects in developing home industry entrepreneurship. After this activity is carried out, partners receive education and guidance on how to make good soap with the help of soap calc computing software and get procurement for the tools needed to make soap. Partners get a perspective on product diversification, so that they have more variants of soap that are worth selling with attractive and eco-friendly packaging. Partners have also started using the internet, especially marketplaces and social media, to expand market reach.

Abstract

Elementary school children frequently consume packaged foods and drinks, often unaware of their high sugar content. This PKM activity aimed to enhance students' nutritional literacy through lectures and interactive discussions. Pre-test and post-test evaluations were conducted to measure knowledge improvement. Before the intervention, only 30% of students understood nutritional labels, increasing to 80% afterward. The ability to recognize sugar-related terms rose from 25% to 85%, and awareness of daily sugar intake limits improved from 20% to 90%. These results indicate that educational programs using lectures and hands-on learning effectively increase children's nutritional awareness and promote healthier consumption habits.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance the skills of housewives in producing hand soap, laundry detergent, and dishwashing liquid based on Sodium Lauryl Sulfonate (SLS). The methods used include socialization, training, mentoring, monitoring, and evaluation, involving 20 participants divided into three groups. Evaluation results showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding, with an average post-test score increase of 43% compared to the pre-test. 90% of participants felt more confident, 85% were interested in entrepreneurship, and 75% recognized its economic benefits. However, limitations included a short training duration and limited equipment. Future recommendations include extended mentoring and marketing training to help participants develop sustainable businesses.

Abstract

The low ability of children to count and the lack of motivation to learn, especially in mathematics, is a separate homework for parents. In addition, learning methods that are less varied often make children feel bored. Therefore, a solution is needed to solve this problem, namely through a workshop program for parents, especially mothers, on how to accompany and teach their children who are at elementary school age about the use of the finger math method. In this activity, materials and socialization are provided on how to count using the finger math method and solving arithmetic problem applications, especially addition and multiplication operations, where all number operations can be completed using only the fingers. This activity has the aim of being an alternative variation of fun mathematics learning, fostering motivation to learn mathematics, improving children's numeracy skills, minimizing the use of calculating tools such as calculators and the like, and highlighting the role of mothers as the first madrasah for children in accompanying their children to learn, especially mathematics. Evaluation of community service activities is carried out at the end of the activity using a questionnaire and the results are concluded using pre-test and post-test.

Abstract

Children's low language skills and moral understanding pose a challenge for parents. Furthermore, their low interest in reading is a key focus of this activity. An engaging method is needed to encourage children to listen and understand a story. Therefore, a solution is needed to address this issue, namely through storytelling activities using hand puppets for children aged kindergarten through third grade. In this activity, an inspirational story is told so that children can learn the moral values contained within the story. Then, they retell the story using homemade hand puppets to hone their language skills. This activity aims to hone language skills for public storytelling, provide an alternative learning method for instilling morals in children through creative and fun media, provide space for children to be creative in making simple hand puppets and displaying them in public, and build children's self-confidence. Evaluation of the community service activity was conducted at the end of the activity using a questionnaire, and the results were summarized using pre-test and post-test assessments.
