Abstract

The utilization  of  Manihot esculenta  to produce  platform chemical such as    levulinic acid  (LA)    has  been  studied    in  detail to  optimize    the  LA  production. The  LA production from  Manihot esculenta  was  monitored  using    reaction times  of  the hidrolysis reaction (3-85 min.),    the reaction temperatures  (150˚C, 170˚C,  and 190˚C), and  concentrations  of sulfuric acid as the catalyst  (1%,  3%,  and 5%).  The  products obtained  were  then  characterized using  high performance  liquid  chromatography (HPLC)    to determine the contents of gl ucose,  hydroxymethylfurfural  (HMF)    and LA. The result showed that  the LA production increased with  the  rise    of temperature  and catalyst concentration, whereas the    glucose and HMF  production decreased with    the rise  of temperature and catalyst concentration. The highest  production    of LA reached approximately 50% (based  on initial concentration of biomass) at reaction temperature of 170˚C and 5% of sulfuric acid concentration for 70 minutes of reaction time.

Abstract

Hand segmentation and tracking are important issues for hand-gesture recognition. Using depth data, it can speed up the segmentation process because we can delete unnecessary data like the background of the image easily. In this research, we modify DBSCAN clustering algorithm to make it faster and suitable for our system. This method is used in both hand tracking and hand gesture recognition. The results show that our method performs well in this system. The proposed method can outperform the original DBSCAN and the other clustering method in terms of computational time.

Abstract

Kucing merupakan hewan yang umum dipelihara oleh kebanyakan masyarakat Indonesia. Merawat kucing secara umum tidaklah sulit, namun pemberian makan secara teratur terkadang menjadi kendala bagi pemilik. Hal ini seringkali terjadi dikarenakan oleh kesibukan seperti pekerjaan atau perjalanan, sehingga tidak memungkinkan pemilik untuk memberi makan pada kucingnya. Sebagai solusi, penulis merancang sebuah perangkat pemberi makan kucing otomatis dengan memanfaatkan IoT. Metode yang digunakan adalah prototyping dengan tahapan antara lain; analisis kebutuhan sistem, perancangan sistem, pembuatan prototype, pengujian dan evaluasi. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan solusi bagi pemilik kucing yang sibuk, sehingga mereka tidak perlu khawatir terhadap pemberian makan pada kucingnya. Pada prototype ini dilakukan pengujian yang meliputi; menghitung waktu tanggap notifikasi Telegram, pengukuran berat pakan yang dikeluarkan, serta mengukur kapasitas pakan yang tersisa di dalam container. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat berhasil memberikan pakan sesuai jadwal, dengan waktu pengiriman notifikasi rata-rata 12.05 detik setelah eksekusi pemberian pakan. Rata-rata berat pakan yang dikeluarkan adalah 51.5gram dengan akurasi berat mencapai 96.98%, sedangkan kapasitas pakan berkurang 5.75% setiap kali pemberian. Selain itu, bot Telegram juga responsif terhadap perintah pengguna.

Abstract

Tahunan Village is one of the villages in Sale Sub-district, Rembang Regency. This village has a lot of potential, namely there are various home industries, but they have not been well developed. The existence of this home industry opportunity is also getting less attention because during the Covid-19 pandemic many community activities were stopped, causing new problems in the fields of health and education. After entering the new normal after the Covid-19 pandemic, observations were made in Tahunan Village with the aim of reviewing community understanding in the fields of health and education through community assistance activities. The implementation of this assistance is in the form of education to the community in the fields of health and education. In the field of education, the people who were given education were school-age children at the elementary school level. The results obtained are the lack of understanding of the community regarding a healthy environment and the use of computer and internet technology in the health sector.
