Abstract

This paper presents the analyzed Monopole Antenna for Ultrawideband with a rectangular patch design using bevel technique at a frequency of 3.1 – 10.6 GHz. The fabricated antennas with dual bevel angles have a very compact width and length of 40 mm x 33 mm respectively and a groundplane width of 13 mm. To get bandwidth improvement on monopole antennas can be applied to the bevel angle on the patch. So, to get the best antenna design, 3 optimizations of antenna size changes were carried out during the simulation, that is optimization of patch length, patch width and bevel angle. Variation of patch length and width is used to change the frequency range and variation of bevel angle to increase bandwidth. From each change, the best result is taken. The experiment obtained the best simulation result of antenna and then fabricate it. From the measurement results on the fabricated antenna, the lowest S11 value is -24.6 dB, gain 2.6 dBi at a frequency of 5 GHz and radiation pattern is omnidirectional. The optimization process using the bevel technique has been proven to be successful in shifting the frequency range by around 600 MHz and increasing the bandwidth by about 4% or 30 MHz.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pertanian merupakan salah satu sektor penunjang perekonomian masyarakat. Sektor pertanian berperan penting dalam ketersediaan kebutuhan pokok di Indonesia. Macam jenis pertanian dapat berupa pertanian kebutuhan pokok maupun pertanian tanaman sayur. Salah satu sektor pertanian yang memiliki potensi pengembangan adalah pertanian tanaman serai. Produk pertanian ini biasa digunakan sebagai bahan utama pembuatan minuman obat maupun pelengkap makanan. Selain produk tersebut, serai memiliki manfaat lain sebagai tanaman obat yang memiliki khasiat tertentu. Produk tersebut dapat diturunkan berupa suplemen obat, sabun, dan bubuk minuman. Urgensi pengabdian ini, maka dibuat sebuah inovasi produk turunan tanaman serai berupa sabun yang dikombinasikan dengan pertanian pintar berbasis sistem cerdas dan Internet of Things (IoT). Produk sabun ini dibuat dengan mengoptimalisasi pertanian serai yang sudah ada di masyarakat menggunakan IoT dan sistem cerdas. Hasil dari produk optimalisasi ini digunakan sebagai dasar pembuatan sabun yang memiliki manfaat tertentu. Tujuan pengabdian ini, agar tercipta iklim pertanian serai yang optimal menggunakan teknologi modern dan kekinian sehingga mendapatkan produk turunan pertanian serai berupa sabun. Pengabdian ini juga mengakomodir pemberdayaan masyarakat padukuhan sehingga dapat lebih mandiri, efisien, dan aktual secara ekonomi dan sosial. Ketercapaian aspek pengetahuan sebesar 82,22% untuk penyulingan dan sebesar 84,86% untuk pengolahan sabun minyak serai didapatkan dalam proses pengabdian pemberdayaan masyaraat ini. Pengukuran presentase pemahaman materi secara kuantitatif memiliki hasil yang berbanding lurus sebesar 63,33% untuk penyulingan dan 66,67% untuk pengolahan sabun minyak serai. Hasil tersebut memberikan signifikansi bahwa kegiatan pengabdian memberikan sudut pandang baru kepada masyarakat berkaitan dengan pengolahan produk turunan pertanian serai. ABSTRACT Agriculture is one of the community's supporting industries. The agriculture industry is critical to the provision of basic necessities in Indonesia. Agriculture may take several forms, including staple farming and vegetable crop production. Lemongrass cultivation is one of the agricultural areas with growth potential. This agricultural crop is commonly utilized as the primary ingredient in the production of medical beverages and dietary supplements. Aside from these items, lemongrass has further advantages as a medicinal plant with specific qualities. These items can be obtained in the form of pharmaceutical supplements, soap, and drinking powder. With the urgency of this dedication, an innovative product derived from lemongrass plants is made in the form of soap combined with smart agriculture based on smart systems and the Internet of Things (IoT). This soap product is made by optimizing existing citronella farming in the community using IoT and smart systems. The results of this optimization product are used as the basis for making soap which has certain benefits. The purpose of this service is to create an optimal climate for lemongrass farming using modern and contemporary technology so as to get a derivative of lemongrass agriculture in the form of soap. This service also accommodates the empowerment of the Padukuhan community so that they can be more independent, efficient, and economically-socially. This community empowerment service approach resulted in an 82.22% knowledge achievement for refining and an 84.86% knowledge achievement for processing lemongrass oil soap. The degree of comprehension of the material measured quantitatively is exactly equivalent to 63.33% for refining and 66.67% for processing lemongrass oil soap. These findings demonstrate the value of community service activities in providing the community with a new viewpoint on the processing of citronella agricultural-derived goods.
