Abstract

Background: Breast milk is the best food for newborns until the age of 2 years, but many breastfeeding mothers have difficulty breastfeeding and cause anxiety, stress, and depression. This condition causes the growth of the hormone oxytocin to be slow so that the milk production does not go smoothly. Objective: developing the application of virtual reality (VR) glasses as oxytocin relaxation therapy to increase breast milk production in postpartum mothers. Method: the method used was pre-experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design approach. Results: This research involved respondents with the criteria; breastfeeding mothers with an age range of 20-35 years, the majority of whom have higher education, most of whom work. The results show that there is a difference in the average before and after treatment with VR glasses, namely the average before treatment was 57.11 with an SD of 13,546, the average after treatment was 73.55 with an SD of 9.921. Statistical test results obtained a p-value of 0.000 (p<) with a difference in the average value of 11.44. The conclusion is that postpartum mothers who are breastfeeding are comforted by the application of audio-visual, thereby stabilizing the increase in the hormone oxytocin which acts as an increase in breast milk production.

Abstract

Diseases caused by infections are still a health problem in developing countries, including Indonesia. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2018, an estimated 19.9 million babies worldwide were not reached by routine immunization services. Around 60% of these children living in 10 countries including Indonesia are not immunized. One of the international commitments to improve the health status of children is the UCI (Universal Child Immunization) program, which is a state of achieving complete basic immunization for infants. Immunization. This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design, using primary data with a sample of 108 mothers and infants and data analysis using chi-square. There was a significant relationship between nutritional status (p value = 0.040), baby's medical history (p value = 0.040), mother's knowledge (p value = 0.001), distance from home (p value = 0.044), health insurance (p value = 0.040) In conclusion, there is a significant relationship with all the variables studied, suggestions for mothers who have babies should immunize their children on time, considering that immunization is very important to equip their children with health in the future

Abstract

Background: The number of incidents of nausea and vomiting reaches 12.5% of the number of pregnancies in the world. In Indonesia there are 50-90% cases of nausea and vomiting experienced by pregnant women. Nearly 50-90% of pregnant women experience nausea and vomiting in the first trimester. Morning Sickness is a natural symptom that occurs in pregnant women, but this symptom can be dangerous if the symptoms get worse to become Hyperemesis Gravidarum or which can result in the death of the mother and the fetus she is carrying. Complications of nausea and vomiting are dehydration and malnutrition. Objective: To determine the effect of giving ajwa dates to reduce morning sickness in first trimester pregnant women at PBM Ny. L Bolenglang, Ciamis Regency. Methods: This type of research is quantitative, namely pre-experimental with a one-group pre-test-post-test design. The sample was divided into two groups: the experimental group which was given ajwa dates and the control group without ajwa dates. Results: statistical test results using the T test obtained a tcount value of 2.104 when compared to the ttable value (1.761) then the tcount value is greater than ttable (2.104 > 1.761), then H0 is rejected. Conclusion: There is an effect of giving ajwa dates on reducing morning sickness in first trimester pregnant women at PBM Ny.L Bolenglang, Ciamis Regency.

Abstract

Breast cancer in women is the highest number of cancer cases in the world. Adolescents aged 10-21 years with breast cancer are often found at an advanced stage. This incident was caused by the low knowledge of teenagers about early detection of breast cancer with BSE. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of e-booklet media in increasing young women's knowledge regarding breast self-examination (BSE). This research is quantitative with a pre-experiment research design with a pre-test and post-test design without a control group design. The sampling technique in this research uses a probability sampling technique with a Simple Random Sampling approach. The sample consisted of 81 respondents who were high school students in DKI Jakarta. The research results showed an increase in the average knowledge score of young women after being given the E-Booklet media about BSE with a p-value < 0.001. Health service institutions and schools can utilize E-Booklet media during health education, especially for young women regarding BSE.
