Abstract

Indeed Houses, a novel set in Minangkabau calture that many tradisional Minangkabau describe the problem. This study was conducted to describe the traditional Minangkabau values contained in the novel. This research is a qualitative descriptive method. This research is used to describe the data contained in the novel. Data collocted by the steps: (1) read and understand the novel, (2) quotation marks, (3) inventory of data, (4) to classify the data. Based on the description of the data and the results of this study concluded that the traditional Minangkabau values contained in the novel, namely, marriange matrilineal, mamak roles and marriagebetween ethnic groups in Indonesia. (1) matrilineal marriage is a marriage with close relative such as child marriage with the niece or home kebako. (2) mamak role in Minangkabau is a guard treasures and meet all the needs of his nephew, such as school fees, and matrilineal problems. (3) inter-ethnic marriages are prohibited in Minangkabau in Indonesia because it can damage the system and the pattern of Minangkabau customs.

Abstract

Children are always risky exposed to pornography of mass media every day. Children sexualviolence is growing too, especially the number of case of sexual violence always ranks topthan other case of violence in Jember regency. The existence of awareness of reproductionhealth education grants in children early is one way to cope with case of sexual violence.Researcher made pop-up book as an alternative reproduction health education mediadevoted to elementary school students between grade 3-4. This research aimed to find outthe feasibility of the pop-up book media from presenting physical appearance and suitabilityof the material. This research was applied in descriptive method with qualitative approach.Data was collected by in-depth interview, triangulation, and documentations. The resultshowed that overall the colors used were in accordance with the children for colorfull,typography used have qualified legibility and readability, lllustrations used was in accordancewith the explanation was given and so attractive for children, and the layout of were used as awhole had met the principle of unity. While the content of each theme was in compliance withthe children, but there had to be improvement of the writing, the use of words, and thecontent.Keywords: Pop-Up, Reproduction Health, Children

Abstract

SnO2/ZnO composites were synthesized using the hydrothermal method using Japanese papaya (Cnidoscolus aconitifolius) leaf extract. This study aims to determine the effect of using Japanese papaya leaf extract (Cnidoscolus aconitifolius) on the formation of crystallinity and morphology in synthesizing SnO2/ZnO composites. Synthesis was carried out with variations in mass of 5, 10, and 15 grams using the hydrothermal method for 12 hours at 160°C. The results of X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) characterization show that wide diffractogram peaks are identified as the peaks of the SnO2 compound with a tetragonal structure and sharp peaks are identified as the peaks of the ZnO compound. The Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) characterization shows the peak wave number of 665 cm-1 which is the Sn-O-Sn strain and the peaks at wave numbers 598 cm-1 and 501 cm-1 which are the Zn-O strain. Characterization of Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) in the synthesis of SnO2/ZnO composites after adding Japanese papaya (Cnidoscolus aconitifolius) leaf extract had relatively reduced particle size and aggregate formation compared to no extract. The best effective mass of Japanese papaya leaf extract (Cnidoscolus aconitifolius) is the mass variation of 15 grams with 28.49 nm crystals.
