Abstract

In order to develop and expand business expansion, the photocopy business owner plans to open a new business branch by renting a shophouse. The choice of location requires careful consideration of several factors because it will affect revenue and business strategy to get maximum profit and have an impact on business continuity. The purpose of this study is to analyze the decision to choose the location of the photocopy business branch with four alternative locations. Location selection was carried out using the Cut Off Point method to determine important criteria to consider, Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used to weight the selected criteria and Technique for Order Performance by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) as a complement in determining the location selection. The results with a Cut Off Point from five competent business experts, selected 8 criteria from 20 criteria such as rental prices, proximity to consumers, and market opportunities. Weighting criteria with AHP obtained three criteria with the highest weight, namely the price of renting a place, market opportunities, and cleanliness of the place. TOPSIS calculation results obtained preference values of 0.704 (Cipayung), 0.647 (Cakung), 0.477 (Cimanggis), and 0.297 (Ciputat). So, the shophouse in Cipayung was chosen as the best alternative.

Abstract

Background of this research is the existence of onomatopoeia in Edgar Allan Poe’s selected poems namely “The Bells” and “The Raven”. The writer uses Ullman’s theory as a reference to analyze the types of onomatopoeia and uses contextual meaning in interpreting the word onomatopoeia in context. The purpose of this study is to find the types of onomatopoeia and also to describe the contextual meaning of onomatopoeia words in selected poems by Edgar Allan Poe. Descriptive Qualitative method used in this research. The analysis begins by identifying words that are onomatopoeic and grouped based on Ullman's theory, namely primary (PO) and secondary (SO) types, then, identifying contextual meanings. This research resulted in 26 words, 15 words in the poem "The Bells" and 11 words in the poem "The Raven". The results of the analysis types of onomatopoeia are 17 words including primary onomatopoeia, and 9 words including secondary onomatopoeia. Analysis of the meaning in the Bells’ Poem, all the words are produced from the sound of objects (Bells). While in The Raven's poem, it is found that there are human, animal (raven) voices and the sounds of other objects.

Abstract

Dalam menghadapi persaingan bisnis dan kondisi pasca pandemi, pelaku bisnis UMKM Toko Roti dan Kue berencana untuk merancang strategi bisnis guna bersaing di pasar serta membangun prospek untuk tumbuh pada masa menuju pasca pandemi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk merancang dan mengevaluasi strategi pengembangan bisnis berdasarkan faktor-faktor internal dan eksternal bisnis Toko Roti dan Kue. Perancangan strategi pengembangan bisnis dilakukan dengan metode Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor internal dan eksternal bisnis serta merancang strategi yang layak, dan Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) sebagai penyempurna dalam penentuan pemilihan strategi bisnis. Hasil penelitian menggunakan analisis SWOT didapatkan 10 faktor internal dan 10 faktor eksternal bisnis serta didapatkan empat alternatif strategi pengembangan bisnis berdasarkan faktor-faktor internal dan eksternal bisnis. Hasil perhitungan QSPM didapatkan alternatif strategi terbaik yaitu strategi WO (memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi untuk pemasaran dan menggunakan pekerja outsourcing untuk memenuhi permintaan konsumen) dengan nilai tertinggi sebesar 6.516.
