Abstract

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi prinsip TQM di MAN Model Yogyakarta tercermin dari proses yang bertahap dan terus menerus dalam peningkatan mutu dengan pemenuhan harapan pelanggan (client) internal maupun eksternal melalui dukungan, partisipasi aktif dan dinamis dari sejumlah pihak. TQM juga memberi manfaat bagi MAN Model sebagai institusi dalam perannya sebagai leader of change. Kebersamaan dan kerjasama seluruh komponen MAN Model Yogyakarta menjadi prasyarat implementasi TQM yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Sejumlah hambatan yang ada dapat terpecahkan dengan mengkomunikasikannya dan mempertinggi komitmen semua komponen untuk bersama-sama menuju pada kualitas yang diharapkan.

Abstract

This paper is formulated to make a brief outlook on social violence in the perspective of Islamic education view, Indonesian culture, and al-Qur’an. Based on this perspective, this paper will discuss the root of violence behavior, whether in recent time or in the past time. This paper will also discuss pro-social behavior developed by individual as well as by society, as it becomes a counter values to violence behavior. The values found through discussion will be then introduced in an education framework as a pathway in reframing social behavior that potentially leads to violence. This action is taken due to re-comphrehend and reduce such potential ‘leads-to-violence’ behavior. The discussion presented in this paper is expected to have an inspiration for the next researches.

Abstract

Total Quality Management (TQM) memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan kualitas diri manusia. TQM menempatkan siswa sebagai konsumen yang kualitasnya harus selalu ditingkatkan menjadi kunci bagaimana madrasah dan TQM dapat difungsikan untuk mengatasi masalah dekadensi moral. Dengan mengasumsikan bahwa dekadensi moral adalah masalah utama yang harus diselesaikan, maka kualitas siswa dan lulusan yang akan dicapai adalah siswa yang berakhlak mulia (akhlakul karimah) sehingga mampu menghindari beragam godaan yang akan menurunkan derajat kemanusiaan mereka. Dengan demikian, akhlak yang mulia merupakan tujuan pendidikan selama seorang siswa berada di madrasah dan di luar madrasah yang proses menuju tujuan itu membutuhkan kerjasama semua unsur dalam kerangka manajemen mutu.

Abstract

This paper discusses the neglectedness of affective aspect on study evaluation of Islamic Religion Education course (Pendidikan Agama Islam) at higher education institution. It is found that the neglectedness of affective aspect is caused by some critical factors: 1) different perspective among scholars on what aspect of affection that cannot be measured, for example: faith; 2) the learning objective of Islamic Religion Education course is too ideal, that make it difficult to measure; 3) vast majority of Islamic Religion Education lecturer are unable to develop good teaching instruments which cover affective aspect; and 4) the students-lecturers ratio are too wide and far from ideal. To solve this problem, some suggestions are proposed; strengthening the good understanding of affective aspect on Islamic Religion Education among lecturers; and enriching evaluation design and model to reveal affective aspect of students.

Abstract

Madrasah merupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan formal yang ada di Indonesia, selain sekolah umum dan juga pesantren. Di antara ketiga lembaga pendidikan tersebut, madrasah memiliki ciri yang khas yang tampaknya menganut paham konvergensi dengan menggabungkan dua model pendidikan lainnya, yaitu model pendidikan umum dan pendidikan pesantren. Setidaknya hal itu terlihat dari komposisi muatan materi pelajaran yang diajarkan di madrasah.

Abstract

This research was aimed at finding the influence of autonomy (selfhelp) and entrepreneurship motivation on entrepreneurship attitude student at FIAI (Islamic Faculty of UII Yogyakarta). This research also want to find the correlation between independent variables and dependent variables, and the influence of sex and departement study on each variables. The subject of this research was proportionally taken from Islamic Studies Faculty students of Islamic University of Indonesia. The sample was taken by proportional random sampling method. The total of samples were 105 respondents from each departement (there are 2 departements at FIAI). The method of collecting data in this research used closed questionaire. Nine kinds of hyphotesis were tested, and to analyzed by using the simple correlation, partial correlation, multiple correlation, multiple regression, and statistic test technique (t-test). The result of analysis and hypothesis testing there had been several conclusions. First, there was significance correlation between the autonomy (selfhelp) with entrepreneurship attitude, second, there was significance correlation between entrepreneurship motivation with entrepreneurship attitude, and third, there was significance influnce autonomy (selfhelp) and entrepreneurship motivation toward entrepreneurship attitude. An other result of this research, there were six kinds of hipothesis which were not proved by this research which made comparative testing between sex and two departements for all three variables dependent.Key Word: SelfHelp, entrepreneurship attitude, entrepreneurship motivation

Abstract

This article is intended for developing the foundation of multicultural Islamic education in accordance with the identity of Indonesia nation. This article reviewed the meaning contained in Q.S. Al-Hujarat (49): (11-13), often related to groups of verses proposing the multicultural spirit in a life. These verses were then examined by refering to the comprehension of Indonesia tafseer expert in Tafseer Marah Labid, Tafseer Al-Azhar, and Tafseer Al-Mishbah. Those three tafseers composed by Indonesian authors are expected to be able to represent the peculiarity of Islamic experience in Indonesia. the result of the discussion towards the meaning of the verses indicated that the multicultural spirit was recognized as an important part in dynamics of the teachings of Islamic since it is inevitability. If it is associated with the multicultural education, the spirit of teachings of Alquran needs to be developed by reinforcing multicultural visions in Islamic education in Indonesia, begun with the content and the development of government policy.
