Abstract

Salah satu problematika pelaksanaan pendidikan inklusi di Indonesia adalah kurangnya kesiapan guru untuk mengajar siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Pendidikan Luar Biasa merupakan salah satu mata kuliah wajib yang diberikan kepada para mahasiswa untuk membekali mereka agar nantinya siap mengajar di sekolah inklusi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis motivasi belajar mahasiswa calon guru pada mata kuliah tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan sumber data berupa kuisioner yang diisi oleh 35 orang mahasiswa yang mengikuti mata kuliah Pendidikan Luar Biasa di semester genap 2020/2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua motivasi mahasiswa dapat dikategorikan ke dalam motivasi instrinsik, yang dapat diuraikan menjadi 3 faktor; perubahan persepsi terhadap anak berkebutuhan khusus, persiapan mengajar di sekolah inklusi, serta masih terbatasnya guru yang memahami anak berkebutuhan khusus di sekolah inklusi. Ketiga motivasi tersebut dikategorikan baik karena selaras dan turut mendukung terwujudnya capaian pembelajaran dari mata kuliah Pendidikan Luar Biasa.

Abstract

Sanggar Angkringan Bocah Sinau in Yogyakarta, which consists of elementary school children in grades 4-6, has been running for 6 years. This non-formal learning activity served by internship students is intended for children who are economically disadvantaged, but have a high enthusiasm for learning. But the pandemic put a halt to all these activities. Problems arise, parents are anxious because children's education is not monitored, do not have more funds for education, and interns who usually teach, return to their respective areas. This need, fulfilled by community service programs, is carried out for 1 year with educational counseling activities for parents and English language training for children. The method of implementing the program starts from: discussion with sanggar caretaker; site visits; determine the appropriate solution of activities; arrange the schedule; implementation of activities; evaluation and follow-up. Activities during June 2022 to May 2023, include 3 counseling sessions for parents, as well as 12 English language training for children, which are carried out online. The results of this activities ; parents are happy and enthusiastic about participating in the program without the need to spend money, parents learn how to accompany and motivate children to learn English with various media, children experience a significant improvement in English language skills. Parents hope that in the future there will also be an English lesson program for parents. Key Words : training , English, sanggar

Abstract

The activeness of students in the learning process is important because students are the subjects of learning. The teacher as a facilitator has an important role in designing learning to facilitate student activity. However, in reality, kindergarten students were found to be less active in class. This is because the need for its characteristics has not been properly facilitated through the right method. As many as 38% of students did not pay attention to the teacher when explaining, 92% of students did not answer the teacher's questions or in other words, only one student answered the teacher's questions, 15% of students were sleepy and did not follow instructions and 0.7% of students did not complete the assignments given. This study aims to describe a method of learning through play to facilitate the activeness of kindergarten students with a descriptive qualitative research methodology supported by portfolio data that will be used as an instrument in the research, they are in the form of observation for a week, reflection on teaching six times, mentor feedback when teaching authors, and lesson plans. The research population was 13 K-2 grade kindergarten students at a school in Bogor, West Java. It was concluded that this method of learning through play can facilitate student activity because it can attract attention, increase concentration, involve less active students, and develop students holistically.
