Abstract

This study aims to elaborate on tourism promotion on the government's official website to explain the challenge of pro-poor culinary tourism development in Indonesia. The qualitative content analysis was used to analyze 224 articles on the government's official tourism promotion website. The researcher processed by counting the presence of the information. The data processing was counting the presence of the information. The researchers read all the text and put code 1 for the information appearance and 0 for the absence. The number of information presentations indicated the government's focus. The government was not put pro-poor culinary tourism development as their focus. The provision of optimal benefits for the poor was not reflected in the promotion of culinary tourism on the government's official website. The challenge for the pro-poor culinary tourism development of the Indonesian government is to translate the goals of tourism development into adequate tourism promotion. The research limitation was that the researcher did not confirm the data through interviews with the website managers. Further research is recommended to conduct interviews with website managers to explain the reasons for choosing information on the website. There was limited research on the government's official culinary tourism promotion website. This study contributed to comprehending what the government should do to promote culinary in the poor alleviation context.

Abstract

Ideally, Vocational High School (SMK) serves as an educational institution dedicated to equipping individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary for a smooth transition into the workforce. However, many vocational school graduates are unemployed. Therefore, to deal with this problem, vocational schools need to implement good corporate communication with DUDI in order to improve the quality of their students. This research aims to determine the objectives and corporate communication strategies used by the Industrial Relationship section of SMK Amaliah 1 and 2 Ciawi to DUDI and the impact on improving the quality of students. This research method uses qualitative methods with interview, observation and documentation data collection techniques. Interview sessions were held with four informants. The results of this research show that the corporate communication carried out by SMK Amaliah 1 and 2 Ciawi aims to persuade DUDI to collaborate. Apart from that, SMK Amaliah 1 and 2 Ciawi applies the RACE strategy model to carry out its communication so that the school is able to improve the quality of students through learning media, teacher competency, learning facilities and the curriculum used.

Abstract

The development of urban tourism has an opportunity to eliminate the development gap in urban areas, but in contrary almost always giving close access for the substandard urban community. The substandard urban communities are represented by micro-scale tourism providers. This study examines the opportunities provided by the government on micro-scale tourism providers in Bogor City’s tourism development policies. The analysis of three space production activities was arranged by analyzing policy documents and observation. The study found tourism development policies are not sufficient in overcoming gaps in urban tourism development through opportunities given to micro-scale tourism providers. The study suggests tourism development policy has to insert the micro-scale tourism providers as the focus of city tourism development, provide legal access to the city center area, and include them in tourism propaganda.

Abstract

Community-based tourism aims to counteract tourism development with the well-being of local communities. There has been extensive research on this topic, but more input is needed for researchers to understand future research opportunities. This study used bibliometric analysis to analyze a large dataset of 70,911 articles from ScienceDirect. The researcher utilized VosViewer to process the data and identify recommendations for future research topics in community-based tourism. The analysis revealed potential research topics, developments in these topics, and areas with potential for novel exploration. These findings represent valuable future research opportunities in community-based tourism that warrant further investigation.
