Optimization of Student Centered Learning (SCL) based learning is carried out to improve the cognitive approach and activeness of students in the learning process. The background of this study is the need for innovation in learning methods that are able to place students as the main subject, so that they can participate more actively, think critically, and solve problems. The focus of the study is directed at the application of SCL strategies, such as active discussion, problem solving, and collaborative learning, and their impact on student learning outcomes and activeness. The research steps include comparing pretest and posttest scores, observing student activeness, and analyzing interactions between students and teachers as facilitators. The results of the study showed that the implementation of SCL significantly improved learning outcomes, internal motivation, and student creativity. The findings also indicated positive interactions between students and teachers, although there were challenges in the form of inefficient time allocation. The main conclusion of this study is that SCL has a positive impact on student engagement and the development of cognitive abilities, so it is worthy of being adopted as an effective learning approach at various levels of education. ABSTRAKOptimalisasi pembelajaran berbasis Student Centered Learning (SCL) dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pendekatan kognitif dan keaktifan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah perlunya inovasi dalam metode pembelajaran yang mampu menempatkan siswa sebagai subjek utama, sehingga mereka dapat lebih aktif berpartisipasi, berpikir kritis, dan memecahkan masalah. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada penerapan strategi SCL, seperti diskusi aktif, pemecahan masalah, dan pembelajaran kolaboratif, serta dampaknya terhadap hasil belajar dan keaktifan siswa. Langkah penelitian meliputi perbandingan nilai pretest dan posttest, observasi keaktifan siswa, serta analisis interaksi antara siswa dan guru sebagai fasilitator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi SCL secara signifikan meningkatkan hasil belajar, motivasi internal, serta kreativitas siswa. Temuan juga mengindikasikan adanya interaksi positif antara siswa dan guru, meskipun terdapat tantangan berupa alokasi waktu yang kurang efisien. Simpulan utama penelitian ini adalah bahwa SCL memberikan dampak positif terhadap keterlibatan siswa dan pengembangan kemampuan kognitif, sehingga layak diadopsi sebagai pendekatan pembelajaran yang efektif di berbagai jenjang pendidikan.
