Abstract

This research is about constructing a prototype of fire detection warning system on Apron Passenger Bus. The prototype can detect certain possibility of fire and give early warning to the driver. It works automatically based on three sensors used, which are smoke sensor, temperature sensor and flame sensor. The prototype is constructed using these three sensors and combined with Arduino microcontroller. This microcontroller has a role of transmitting information to the alarm system as a fire indicator. Method used in this research begins with simulation of a fire warning system and continued by implementation on hardware. The prototype works successfully on detecting fire both on software and hardware basis.

Abstract

Abstract : This research aims to increase the independence of moderately mentally retarded students in dressing through self-development learning in class I SLB Negeri Nanga Pinoh. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was carried out in two cycles. Data collection in this research was carried out through observation sheets, questionnaires, field notes and test results. The stages in this research include observation, pre-action research, cycle 1 research and cycle 2 research. In the pre-action research, 55.66% of students were able to complete the task of dressing well. The results of the research in the first cycle showed an increase, namely 63.33% of students who were able to complete the task of dressing well, an increase of 7.67% from the pre-action research. After implementing improvements in the second cycle, including the use of more interactive learning media and practical exercises, the percentage of student success increased to 90% of students who were able to complete the task of dressing well, an increase of 22.67% from cycle 1 research. Students showed increased motivation and active participation in the process learning. Keywords: Independence, Self-Development Learning, Mentally Disabled Students   Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian siswa tunagrahita sedang dalam berpakaian melalui pembelajaran bina diri di kelas I SLB Negeri Nanga Pinoh. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu dilakukan melalui lembar observasi, angket, catatan lapangan, dan hasil tes. Tahapan dalam penelitian ini meliputi pengamatan, penelitian pra Tindakan, penelitian siklus 1 dan penelitian siklus 2. Pada penelitian pra Tindakan memperolah hasil 55.66% siswa yang mampu menyelesaikan tugas berpakaian dengan baik. Hasil penelitian pada siklus pertama menunjukkan peningkatan yaitu 63.33% siswa yang mampu menyelesaikan tugas berpakaian dengan baik naik 7.67% dari penelitian pratindakan. Setelah menerapkan perbaikan pada siklus kedua, termasuk penggunaan media pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan latihan praktis, persentase keberhasilan siswa meningkat menjadi 90% siswa yang mampu menyelesaikan tugas berpakaian dengan baik naik 22.67% dari penelitian siklus 1. Siswa menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi dan partisipasi aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Kata Kunci: Kemandirian, Pembelajaran Bina Diri, Siswa Tunagrahita
