Abstract

Kegiatan belajar mengajar di revolusi industri4,0 yang berdampak pada dekatnya peserta didik dengan teknologi kehidupan sehari- hari guru sudah harus mampu dalam memanfaatkan model pembelajaran yang ada salah satunya adalah model STEAM. Tujan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk guru mampu mengembangkan profesionalisme guru dalam menerapkan model STEAM ke dalam proses pembelajaran. Penggunaan model STEAM menekankan hubungan pengetahuan dan keterampilan Science, Tecnology, Engineering, Art, dan Mathematics (STEAM). STEAM sebuah pendekatan pembelajaran terpadu yang mendorong guru untuk menggali kemampuan peserta didik dalam memecahkan masalah di kehidupan sehari- hari. Teknik yang digunakan berupa tes tertulis dan quisioner. Pelaksanaan pelatihan pengabdian dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Salo.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of Project-Based Learning on students’ understanding of Social Studies content within the Merdeka Curriculum at Elementary School 006 Langgini. This research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest model. The research sample consisted of 17 students selected through total sampling. The research instrument was a Social Studies comprehension test that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and a paired sample t-test. The results indicated an increase in the students’ average comprehension scores after the implementation of Project-Based Learning. Hypothesis testing revealed that Project-Based Learning had a significant effect on students’ understanding of Social Studies content in the Merdeka Curriculum at Elementary School 006 Langgini. Therefore, Project-Based Learning can be used as an alternative instructional strategy to enhance students’ conceptual understanding of Social Studies in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of critical thinking skills among fifth-grade students in learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS). One effort to address this problem is through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This study aims to describe the improvement of students’ critical thinking skills through the application of the Problem Based Learning model in class V Ibnu Firnas of SD Islam Terpadu Al Fikri Pekanbaru.The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings and four stages, namely planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research was carried out in the even semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The research subjects were 28 fifth-grade students, consisting of 15 male students and 13 female students. Data collection techniques included observation, tests, and documentation.The results of the study showed an improvement in students’ critical thinking skills in each cycle. In Cycle I, 12 students (43%) achieved the mastery category. In Cycle II, the number of students who achieved mastery increased to 23 students (82%). Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students at SD Islam Terpadu Al Fikri Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas I di MI Al-Falah Teratak menjadi permasalahan yang perlu segera diatasi. Kondisi tersebut terlihat dari masih banyak siswa yang belum mampu mengenal suku kata dengan baik, membaca kata secara lancar, serta memahami hubungan antara bunyi dan huruf. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah penerapan metode pembelajaran yang tepat dan menarik, yaitu metode suku kata berbantuan media flashcard. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca permulaan siswa kelas I MI Al-Falah Teratak melalui penerapan metode suku kata berbantuan media flashcard. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan setiap siklus terdiri atas dua pertemuan. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas I MI Al-Falah Teratak yang berjumlah 26 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan membaca permulaan siswa pada setiap siklus. Pada siklus I pertemuan I diperoleh hasil sebesar 64%, meningkat menjadi 69% pada siklus I pertemuan II. Selanjutnya pada siklus II pertemuan I keterampilan membaca mencapai 81% dan meningkat kembali menjadi 84% pada siklus II pertemuan II. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode suku kata berbantuan media flashcard efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca permulaan siswa kelas I MI Al-Falah Teratak.

Abstract

The professional competency of teachers referred to in this research is the education of teachers who teach in elementary schools (SD) in implementing thematic learning. At the elementary school level there are still teachers whose professional qualifications do not match the needs of elementary schools. If this can be done permanently, it cannot be denied that this will have an impact on teachers' professional competence in implementing thematic learning in the future. Thematic learning is a learning model that allows students to study academic concepts and principles comprehensively, meaningfully and authentically, individually and in groups. The type of research used in this research is a mixed/combination type of research or what is usually called mixed methods sequential explanatory model. This research aims to determine the professional competence of elementary school (SD) teachers in implementing thematic learning in elementary schools. From the results of interviews and observations made, it was proven that class Ib and IV teachers had prepared learning plans before the learning process began. Both teachers carry out the learning process based on themes that have been determined in the teacher's book and student's book. Both teachers carry out learning based on the learning implementation plan that has been prepared.
