Abstract

In an increasingly advanced digital era, technology has a very important role in increasing information accessibility for all individuals, including people with disabilities. One approach that has proven effective in improving their quality of life is the development of Android-based applications specifically designed to meet their needs. This article discusses the design of the "EmpatiKu" application which aims to increase information accessibility for people with disabilities, with a focus on the use of technology to support independence and social inclusion. The development of information and communication technology has opened up new opportunities in efforts to overcome the challenges of information accessibility for people with disabilities. The "EmpatiKu" application is designed to present innovative solutions that utilize the power of Android as the main platform. Using features such as voice recognition, disability-friendly navigation, and an easy-to-access interface, the app aims to provide a bridge to information often encountered by those with physical or sensory limitations.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the difficulties often experienced by students in determining the topic of their final assignment that suits their interests and abilities, which results in delayed graduation. The purpose of this study is to create an accurate final assignment topic decision support system model using the Random Forest Algorithm, design a website-based decision support system to assist students in determining the topic of their final assignment, and evaluate the efficiency and quality of the system. The data used are academic grades and interests of students in the Computer and Network Engineering study program at the Ujung Pandang State Polytechnic. The results of the study show that the Random Forest Model is able to produce final assignment topic recommendations with a Cross-validation accuracy of 61.36%. The website-based decision support system designed can assist students in determining the topic of their final assignment according to their interests and academic abilities, as well as improve the efficiency and quality of the final assignment topic selection process. This research contributes to making it easier for students to find the right final assignment topic, as well as providing guidance for the development of similar recommendation systems in the future.

Abstract

AbstrakArtikel ini berisi pembahasan terkait tradisi Terbang Gembrung masyarakat Kampung Naga yang dijadikan sebagai sarana penyebaran Islam. Kampung Naga merupakan salah satu kampung adat yang berada di  Tasikmalaya, Jawa Barat. Sebagai kampung adat, masyarakat kampung Naga masih mempertahankan tradisi yang dimilikinya secara turun-temurun. Upaya mempertahankan tradisi di tengah modernisasi menjadi motivasi generasi penerus untuk mempertahankan tradisi daerahnya. Salah satu tradisi yang masih dipertahankan oleh masyarakat Kampung Naga hingga saat ini adalah Terbang Gembrung atau Terbangan. Masuknya tradisi ini ke Kampung Naga diduga memiliki hubungan erat dengan masuknya Islam ke tanah Sunda. Hal tersebut disimbolkan melalui alat musik Terbangan. Di dalam tradisi ini terdapat nyanyian berupa selawat untuk nabi yang diiringi oleh instrumen sejenis rebana atau tagonian. Di samping itu, masyarakat Kampung Naga percaya bahwa mereka merupakan keturunan Singaparna dari Kerajaan Galunggung yang memeluk agama Islam. Penulis menggunakan metode studi literatur untuk mencari dan mengumpulkan sumber-sumber yang relevan dalam menyusun artikel ini.Kata Kunci: Tradisi Terbang Gembrung, Kampung Naga, Sejarah.
