Abstract

The need for the development of instruments for higher-order thinking skills of vocational students related to the demands of the era and the lack of teachers’s capability on arrange it requires a strengthening in the learning evaluation process, especially in measuring the ability of students. SMK in building competence focuses on creating superior human resources to be ready to contribute to the civil sector. Along with the rapid development of the construction world, competitiveness to work in this field has become tight so that graduates must have a differentiator that can be a special attraction to the company. In SMK of building competence, the subject that require an understanding of concepts in solving problems is techincal- mechanical subject. This subject is knowing as a subject that applies derived concepts of mathematics, physics, and logical thinking. This study was conducted as an effort to support the improvement of these capabilities and provide an overview of the preparation of HOTS-based techincal-mechanial instruments in building engineering. This research used Research and Development Methods using the Classical Test Theory approach where after being tested on 574 respondents of vocational school students in several areas in Jakarta it was found that the reliability results were good, and most of the questions had a medium level of difficulty, and high differentiation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat evaluasi menggunakan aplikasi Quizizz pada mata pelajaran Mekanika Teknik dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh pada kelas X DPIB dan KGSP di beberapa SMK se-DKI Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Research and Developpment (R&D) dengan model penelitian pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Evaluation). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan alat evaluasi Mekanika Teknik mendapatkan kelayakan ahli materi sebesar 85,88% dengan kategori sangat layak, ahli instrumen sebesar 80,62% dengan kategori layak, dan ahli bahasa sebesar 85,14% dengan kategori sangat layak. Hasil uji validitas isi ahli materi sebesar 0,823 yang termasuk kategori tinggi, validitas isi ahli instrumen sebesar 0,758 yang termasuk kategori sedang, dan validitas isi ahli bahasa sebesar 0,833 yang termasuk kategori tinggi. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa alat evaluasi Mekanika Teknik menggunakan aplikasi Quizizz sudah sangat baik dalam mewakili suatu konstruk yang diukur sehingga dapat menunjang proses evaluasi pembelajaran jarak jauh pada mata pelajaran Mekanika Teknik dengan efektif dan efisien.Development of a Hots-Based Evaluation Tool Using the Quizizz Application in Mechanical Engineering Subjects in Distance LearningAbstractThis research is a research and development that aims to develop evaluation tools using quizizz applications on engineering mechanics subjects in distance learning in class X DPIB and KGSP in several vocational schools in Jakarta. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with addie development research model (Analysis, Design, Development, Evaluation). The results showed that the development of Technical Mechanics evaluation tools gained material expert eligibility by 85.88% with a very decent category, instrument experts by 80.62% with decent categories, and linguists by 85.14% with very decent categories. Test results validitas material expert content of 0.823 which belongs to the high category, the validity of the instrument expert content of 0.758 which belongs to the medium category, and the validity of the content of linguists by 0.833 which belongs to the high category. So itis concluded that the Engineering Mechanics evaluation tool using quizizz application has been very good in representing a construct measured so as to support the process of evaluation of distance learning in the subjects of Engineering Mechanics effectively and efficiently.
