Abstract

Development of technology filled with various visual media storytellings, especially photography, makes not only photographers who create still life photography works, but those involved in art and visual storytellers participate in exploring this genre which can be an effective medium for storytelling. Still life photography that prioritizes layout, properties and lighting based on the creator's idea, aims in expressing emotions because it provides flexibility in arrangement its composition elements. The purpose of this study focuses on still life photography which not only move objects into a photo, but contain meaning, messages and an artistic photo results. The research method by qualitatively through sample observation and literature theory, through the theme of spices represented in jamu as a characteristic of Indonesian identity and culture, the results can show that conceptual still life photography can become a powerful visual media in introducing Indonesian wealth of culture and agricultural. The implication is that still life photography through this theme is not just displaying objects, but creating a space for artistic experiment, understanding traditions and cultural, and providing a new dimension to everyday objects that are often overlooked in modern life.

Abstract

Lengkong Kulon, located in Pagedangan District, Tangerang, keeps and preserves their traditions in the midst of modernization that is growing today. Lengkong Kulon itself has the potential to support their economic activities in various Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) engaged in the culinary field by having its own characteristics, namely Arabic culinary specialties such as Kebuli and Ka'ak Cakes as its attractions. However, in the midst of urban progress, developments of MSMEs are very minimal in terms of promotion. This problem can be caused by limited capital, human resources, to poor marketing management, but there are also other problems such as the lack of packaging aesthetics and photos of MSME products which have an impact on promotional activities not going well, so that MSME products are less well known by the public. large. From this problem, the solution provided by our research team is to improve the creative concept of product photography in Lengkong Kulon as a means of developing MSMEs. In order to improve the quality of product photos in Arabic culinary specialties as a characteristic of the village, it is necessary to design a visual product photo that is attractive and creative in each presentation to promotion, and is carried out systematically through three stages, starting from the inspiration stage, ideation stage, and implementation stages. The research team hopes that, through the quality and concept of photos in visual design to better and more attractive promotions, they can introduce and increase the interest of consumers and the wider community that Lengkong Kulon has its characteristics and a variety of interesting MSME product potentials, on the other hand it can also help improving the economy and welfare of the people of Lengkong Kulon.abstract in bahasaDesa Lengkong Kulon yang terletak di Kecamatan Pagedangan, Tangerang menyimpan dan melestarikan tradisi mereka di tengah modernisasi yang semakin berkembang dewasa ini. Desa Lengkong Kulon sendiri memiliki potensi dalam menunjang aktivitas ekonomi mereka pada berbagai UMKM yang bergerak pada bidang kuliner dengan memiliki ciri khas tersendiri yaitu kuliner khas Arab seperti Kebuli dan Kue Ka’ak sebagai daya tariknya. Namun di tengah kemajuan kota, perkembangan UMKM desa sangat minim dari segi promosinya. Masalah ini dapat disebabkan oleh keterbatasan modal, sumber daya manusia, hingga pengelolaan marketing yang buruk, namun terdapat pula masalah lainnya seperti kurangnya estetika kemasan dan foto produk UMKM yang berdampak pada kegiatan promosi tidak berjalan dengan baik, sehingga produk-produk UMKM kurang dikenal oleh masyarakat luas. Dari masalah tersebut, solusi yang diberikan oleh tim peneliti adalah melakukan peningkatan konsep kreatif fotografi produk Desa Lengkong Kulon sebagai sarana pengembangan UMKM. Agar peningkatan kualitas foto produk pada kuliner khas Arab sebagai ciri khas desa tersebut dapat berlangsung dengan baik, maka dilakukan perancangan visual sebuah foto produk yang menarik dan kreatif dalam setiap penyajiannya hingga promosi, serta dilakukan secara sistematis melalui tiga tahapan, dimulai dari tahap insipiration,tahap ideation, dan tahap implementation. Harapan besar tim peneliti, melalui kualitas dan konsep foto dalam perancangan visual hingga promosi yang baik dan lebih menarik, dapat memperkenalkan dan menambah ketertarikan konsumen maupun masyarakat luas bahwa Desa Lengkong Kulon memiliki ciri khas serta beragam potensi produk UMKM yang menarik, disisi lain dapat pula membantu peningkatan perekonomian dan kesejahteraan masyarakat Desa Lengkong Kulon.

Abstract

Desa Rancagong yang berlokasi 12 km di sebelah Barat Daya Kota Tangerang tepatnya di Kecamatan Legok memiliki potensi dalam menunjang aktivitas ekonomi desa. Mayoritas desa yang memiliki mata pencaharian tampah bambu dan kuliner tradisional khas Indonesia memiliki sejumlah UMKM unggulan yang sudah berjalan cukup lama. Selain itu, Desa Rancagong memiliki keindahan alam seperti area pesawahan dan mata air yang berpotensi sebagai tempat wisata. Namun permasalahan utama yang dialami Desa Rancagong adalah minimnya infomasi mengenai identitas desa tersebut pada khalayak luas. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh keterbatasan modal, sumber daya manusia, hingga pengelolaan informasi melalui marketing yang buruk, sehingga berdampak pada kegiatan promosi wisata maupun produk-produk UMKM tidak berjalan dengan baik dan kurang dikenal oleh masyarakat luas. Melalui masalah tersebut, solusi yang dapat diberikan adalah perancangan dan pembuatan video profil desa. Video profil desa merupakan suatu proyek yang penting dalam memperkenalkan dan mempromosikan keunikan desa kepada dunia luar. Video profil dapat membantu meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang potensi desa dan menarik minat para investor dan wisatawan untuk berkunjung ke desa, selain itu video profil dapat dijadikan sebagai suatu dokumentasi sejarah hingga prestasi yang telah dicapai oleh Desa Rancagong. Agar kualitas video profil desa dapat berlangsung dengan baik, maka dilakukan metode kualitatif melalui survei, wawancara, observasi, studi eksisting dan studi literatur, serta dilakukuan metode perancangan visual secara sistematis melalui berbagai aspek seperti penyusunan script, storyboard,lighting, editingdan lainnya dalam 4 tahapan yaitu riset data, pra produksi, produksi hingga pasca produksi. Harapan besar, melalui perancangan dan pembuatan video profil Desa Rancagong, dapat memperkenalkan dan menambah ketertarikan masyarakat luas dengan meningkatnya kesadaranakan keindahan alam serta beragam potensi produk UMKM yang menarik Desa Rancagong, selain itu dapat pula membantu peningkatan perekonomian dan kesejahteraan masyarakat Desa Rancagong.

Abstract

“Satu Darah Juang” is a photography zine work produced through artistic practice based on research, or commonly called practice-led research, which explores religious and cultural values in the family of Petrus Mailoa (the author's grandfather), who lives in Ambon City, Maluku. Based on a collection of family photo archives, this zine reconstructs collective memory and local spirituality through a process of selecting photo archives, recalling conversations with Opa Petu, Oma Bo, Mama Nel, Aunt Poppy, and Aunt Noor, sequencing stages, digital collage, to creating illustrations analogously. This process produces a photo narrative that is effective, visual, and historical, and creates a dialogue between the personal realm and communal culture. The practice-led approach functions to integrate visual experience with the concept of visual communication (the concept of punctum Barthes), cultural psychoanalysis (Freud & Lacan), and visual anthropology. This work is a visual artifact, has the function of being a medium for introspection, a space for dialogue between the private and the public, and then becomes a form of expression beyond the limitations of conventional documentary photography. “Satu Darah Juang” has gone through exhibition curation and audience interaction; this process is the answer that there is potential for cultural communication and social reflection. Therefore, this research provides a clear affirmation of the position of art practice as a valid research method to record, transform, and then inherit cultural values through an interdisciplinary approach.
