Abstract

This study examines the role of Bu Nyai Nusantara (BNN) in transforming Islamic education within pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) in Madura, Indonesia. Utilizing a qualitative, phenomenological approach, the research explores the challenges faced by female leaders in traditionally male-dominated institutions, the strategies they employ to navigate and transform gender roles, and their unique contributions to Islamic education and broader societal change. The study draws on theories of women's educational leadership, particularly the model proposed by Grogan and Shakeshaft (2010), and Islamic feminism to analyze the experiences of Bu Nyai. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis across four districts in Madura. The findings reveal that Bu Nyai faces multifaceted challenges stemming from cultural norms, religious interpretations, and societal expectations. However, they have developed innovative strategies, including pursuing higher education, embracing technology, and building collaborative networks, to overcome these obstacles. The research highlights Bu Nyai's significant contributions to modernizing Islamic education, redefining religious authority, and advancing gender equality. Their leadership approach aligns with Grogan and Shakeshaft's five dimensions: leadership for change, instructional leadership, spiritual leadership, relational leadership, and balanced leadership. This study contributes to the understanding of women's leadership in religious educational contexts and demonstrates how educational leadership theories can be applied and adapted in diverse cultural settings. The findings have implications for educational policies and practices in Islamic institutions and provide insights into the potential of women's leadership as a catalyst for social change in traditional religious contexts.

Abstract

The difficulties in learning Arabic are a barrier to the implementation of Arabic language learning and instruction. The purpose of this study is to identify the issue with utilizing Sparkol Videoscribe to teach Arabic to Maharah Qira'ah students at STIT Miftahul Ulum Bangkalan. Because the data given will be in descriptive form, employing phenomenological research, the qualitative approach is the fundamental foundation for this research technique. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode al-la’bu al-adwar untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikatif dalam maharah kalam, subyek dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester II STIT Miftahul Ulum Bangkalan. Teknik analisi data yang digunakan ialah uji normalitas dan uji t-tes dengan menggunakan bantuan software SPSS 26,00. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara sesudah penerapan metode al-la’bu al-adwar dengan sebelum penerapan, hal ini dibuktikan melalui uji t dengan diperoleh harga statistik t = 15,138 dengan df = 24 dan angka signifikasi atau p-value = 0,000 < 0,05 atau Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Sedangkan untuk mengukur indikator tingkat pengaruh penggunaan metode al-la’bu al-adwar ialah dengan menggunakan uji Gain, dengan perolehan nilai dengan rata-rata 0.5710 yang mempunyai arti memiliki pengingkatan hasil belajar kategori sedang.

Abstract

This study investigates the use of digital storytelling for learning Arabic vocabulary at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) level. Conventional vocabulary learning frequently encounters challenges in the form of boring procedures, a lack of contextualization, and poor student motivation. In the digital era, incorporating technology into Arabic language study is essential for improving learning efficacy. Digital storytelling is an innovative approach that mixes traditional narratives with multimedia elements such as photos, audio, and video. This descriptive qualitative research was carried out at MTs Al-Falah, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The study's findings show that the use of digital storytelling in vocabulary learning involves two stages: preparation (needs analysis, theme selection, script preparation, media selection, and audio-visual component preparation) and implementation (introduction, concept formation, digital storytelling production, evaluation, and reflection). The benefits include improved vocabulary mastering, learning motivation, the development of digital skills and creativity, and collaborative learning. Challenges include limited infrastructure, teacher technology competency, scheduling constraints, a shift in concentration to technological factors, and limited Arabic resources. The remedies proposed include the use of alternative technologies, teacher training, collaborative teaching, the use of templates, and a focus on learning objectives. The study's findings are likely to help build new and successful Arabic language learning methodologies for the MTs level.

Abstract

The term "hybrid learning" in the context of education describes a fusion of traditional and online learning approaches. To support hybrid learning, IAIN Madura uses the OBS Studio application. The purpose of the study is to offer a different approach to the time, location, and distance issues that lecturers deal with, which hinder the learning process. Additionally, pupils' ideas and ways of thinking are constrained when traditional teaching approaches are used. Children are consequently unmotivated to study both individually and in groups. This study employs phenomenological inquiry as a qualitative research methodology. The following succinctly describes the results of IAIN Madura's hybrid learning-based Arabic instruction utilizing the OBS Studio application: First, instructors and students feel more relaxed and younger when OBS Studio is used in the hybrid-based learning approach. Second, students' perceptions that studying Arabic may be integrated with information, communication, and technology (ICT) may be strengthened by hybrid learning-based Arabic language instruction utilizing OBS Studio. Third, OBS Studio is a very useful tool for learning Arabic and is a great learning tool. Fourth, OBS Studio can be used as an alternative learning tool that helps with distance learning.
