Abstract

Sand, river stone, soil excavation, sandstone and broken stone are the types of construction materials mining in Gowa Regency and many are found in the Jeneberang River. The Jeneberang River is one of the main rivers in South Sulawesi. However, construction materials mining carried out around the Jeneberang River has a negative impact on the surrounding environment. Those negative impacts are erosion, road damage, noise, air pollution, and decrease in water quality. This research was conducted in Gowa Regency. The method used is the Contingent valuation method (CVM). CVM consists of the desire to pay (Willingness to Pay or WTP) and the desire to accept (Willingnes to Accept or WTA. While the social aspect conducts interviews with questionnaire questions to respondents to find out opinions about the surrounding environment. From this study, it is known that WTP and WTA data are inversely proportional. The greater the compensation to be paid, the more societies who want to receive and the fewer companies paid for the compensation.

Abstract

Seam 14 is one of coal prospects owned by PT Alamjaya Bara Pratama (PT ABP) with an estimated coal resources of ±4,022,458.63 tons which is will be produced in 2020 so that required a pit and mine sequence design used as a guideline in carrying out coal production activities. On the other hand, the uncertainty of coal prices caused the mine sequence design to be evaluated within a certain time as the coal reference price (HBA) was altered and company’s production target. The model equation of coal reference price prediction in 2020 was carried out by using multiple linear regression method. Based on that model, prediction of coal reference price was obtained in CW 1 = $80.21, CW 2 = $81.47 and CW 3 = $82.50. The Pit 14 was designed with the consideration of company's geotechnical recommendation which is can be achieved on the conditions of stripping ratio (SR) of 6 and 7. The mine sequence was designed base on the evaluation of coal production in 2019 (CW 1 = SR > 3, CW 2 = 3 ≤ SR ≤ 6 and CW 3 = SR > 6). The calculation results of estimated revenue of Pit 14 with SR = 6 is CW 1 = US$40,131,297.12; CW 2 = US$36,431,457.31; and CW 3 = US$19,601,965.40. Estimated revenue of Pit 14 with SR = 7 is CW 1 = US$41,821,080.50; CW 2 = US$39,204,128.39; and CW 3 = US$31,715,767.60.

Abstract

PT XYZ is one of the companies engaged in the coal mining and energy in South Sumatra Province. Mining activities at the Pit A are still focused on stripping overburden using the Komatsu PC-3000E power shovel digging tool. The company has established a 513,333 BCM production target of overburden stripping in November 2020. While the total overburden production obtained is 488,162 BCM. The existence of factors that affect the productivity of the tool will determine the achievement of production targets, so it is necessary to evaluate production by identifying the factors causing the problem. One of method that can be used to determine the root cause of the problem is by using a fishbone diagram. A Fishbone diagram is a method used to identify the root cause of a quality problem. The purpose of this research is to calculate overburden production in November 2020, identify factors that influence the achievement of overburden production targets using a fishbone diagram, and make recommendations for improvement plans based on factors that affect the achievement of overburden production targets. Based on the results of the fishbone diagram analysis using the 4M pattern consisting recommendations for improvement plans can be designed for each factor causing the problem which is machine, methods, materials, and manpower.

Abstract

PT Ang and Fang Brothers planned to open a new pit of lateritic nickel ore in Mawar Block. Mine scheduling of open-pit mines is an important thing in surface mine planning so the purpose of this research is to provide an overview of pit design and mining sequences, amount of production and number of equipment allocated in each sequence. The production targeted by the company was 50,000 tons by considering the mine recovery factor of 90%. Mine scheduling requires several data, namely cycle time, loss time, block model, equipment specifications and availability, slope and mine haul road geometry, and topography. The data used to design pit limits, mining sequences, and production scheduling. Based on the design of the mine pit, the total overburden that must be removed is 365,589 bcm and the total laterite nickel ore that must be stripped is 169,240 tons with a stripping ratio of 2.2:1 which is divided into three mining sequences. Total tonnage of lateritic nickel ore in the first to the third sequence is 55,677 tons, 55,518 tons, and 58,045 tons with overburden of 143,764 bcm, 136,055 bcm, and 85,770 bcm respectively. The equipment fleet of the first to the third sequence is 4 units’ loader with 17 units’ hauler, 4 units’ loader with 17 units’ hauler, and 3 units’ loader with 13 units’ hauler respectively.

Abstract

The implementation of the export ban of the raw mineral commodities is one of the implications brought by the Mining Law Number 3 of the year 2020. The high contribution of the raw mining commodities towards the economy of Indonesia plays dual sides of a coin. First, it is seemingly more beneficial to increase the value of the raw commodities by processing and refining them first domestically. Then, as the raw commodities contribute largely, banning the export surely will bring a change towards the economy. Change in government’s regime initiate the review of the export ban. This research utilizes Herfindahl Hirschman Index and Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) to investigate how export ban can affect the economy growth. In analyzing the impact of the export ban, the very basic foundation is examining the export potential of the mining commodities. Analyzing the ores, metals, and minerals as export commodities, the ores and minerals seemingly are the prominent export commodities. Proved by the RCA index value, the government of Indonesia has a strong foundation to release the export ban. Additionally, the HH Index of market concentration indicates that the export trade of Indonesia is relatively independent towards its trading partner. Therefore, as the government of Indonesia sets to implement the export ban policy, this change in trade barriers is unlikely will disrupt the trade relations between Indonesia and its trading partners.

Abstract

The distance for transporting overburden at PT Hillconjaya Sakti reaches hundreds of meters. Based on actual conditions, Articulated CAT 745 queues often occur on certain haul road segments due to unsuitable haul road conditions so the fuel ratio value is in the low performance category. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the fuel ratio value and provide recommendations for improving the geometry of haul roads to meet the established fuel ratio value standards. Multiple linear regression analysis using Eviews 12 VS was used to determine the variables that significantly affect the fuel consumption of hauler based on haul road geometry. Road grade, total resistance, travel time and speed of the hauler are independent variables, while fuel consumption is the dependent variable. Based on the results of data processing, a fuel ratio value of 1.85 was obtained and the parameters that had a significant effect on fuel consumption were total resistance and travel time. Improvement of haul road conditions based on ESDM Decree No. 1827 K/30/MEM/2018 and AASHTO Manual Rural High Way Design. The fuel ratio value after repairs decreased to 0.60 and was in the best performance category based on PT Hillconjaya Sakti's standard fuel ratio value.
