Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas bentuk soal sumatif keterampilan menyimak BIPA 4 di Balai Bahasa UPI dan kesesuaian soal dengan indikator kelulusan pada SKL BIPA 4 menurut Permendikbud No 27 Tahun 2017. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk soal berupa UAP (Ujian Akhir Program) dengan jenisĀ  soal objektif berupa soal pilihan ganda berjumlah 20 soal yang terbagi menjadi sesi A dan sesi B. Keduanya telah sesuai dengan indikator lulusan pada SKL BIPA 4 menurut Permendikbud No 27 Tahun 2017 yakni pada elemen kompetensi 2.1. (Mampu memahami diskusi/pidato/ceramah dengan alur argumen yang kompleks dengan topik yang sudah dikenal) dan 2.2. (Mampu menyimpulkan informasi dari berita yang berasal dari media elektronik). Sedangkan untuk elemen kompetensi 2.3. (Mampu memahami film Indonesia berdurasi pendek yang beralur sederhana) tidak muncul baik di sesi A maupun sesi B, karena topik yang diangkat adalah seputar musik favorit dan lowongan pekerjaan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the challenges and strategies in learning literature for BIPA students. The dynamics of BIPA learning always encourage teachers to be adaptive in dealing with problems and problems in learning. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method which aims to identify challenges and strategies for teaching Indonesian literature for BIPA students. The research data came from literature studies and the results of observations and interviews with BIPA teachers at the UPI and UNY language centers. Interviews were conducted with an interview instrument that had been adapted to the focus of the researcher's study. The results of this study are presented descriptively. Based on the results of this study, challenges in teaching literature for BIPA students are students' enthusiasm or interest in literature, selecting literary material according to students' needs, introduction to the culture contained in literary works, explaining the meaning of sentences using figures of speech or idioms, using literary language that is different from communicative language, understanding connotative meaning in literature. Based on these challenges, there are several strategies that can be applied to deal with them, namely, using appropriate methods such as discussion methods, direct methods, grammar translation methods, repetitive methods, discovery learning methods, scientific learning approaches, Problem Based Learning and sociodrama. Besides that, it is also necessary to use media to help students understand such as videos, pictures and puzzles. The use of comparative literature, transformation of literary works, analysis of student needs are also strategies that can be used as an alternative in studying literature for BIPA students.

Abstract

This research aims to produce digital phonology teaching materials using the shadowing technique to improve the pronunciation skills of basic-level Korean BIPA learners. The research method employed Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection techniques involved needs analysis by interviewing BIPA learners and instructors, then conducting pronunciation tests on Korean BIPA learners to identify pronunciation challenges and specific needs for material development. Based on this analysis, the digital teaching materials were designed and developed, then validated by media experts, material experts, and BIPA practitioners. Data analysis techniques in this research included quantitative and qualitative methods. The result showed that the development of digital phonology teaching materials with shadowing techniques for Korean BIPA learners was effective in improving Indonesian pronunciation skills. The evaluation results showed that this teaching material received a very positive response from teachers and learners, with feasibility test scores of 98% and 94% respectively, as well as expert validation that supported the quality of the teaching material. Thus, this digital teaching material not only meets the expected standards, but also offers concrete solutions to the pronunciation challenges faced by Korean BIPA learners, and is ready to be used to improve the effectiveness of Indonesian pronunciation learning.
