Abstract

User satisfaction is a critical indicator for evaluating the performance of healthcare facilities, particularly as public expectations increasingly emphasize service quality, clear procedures, and accessible information. However, evidence on how these factors jointly shape satisfaction in healthcare settings remains important to clarify. Objective: This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality, service delivery procedures, and ease of access to information on satisfaction with the experience of using healthcare facilities. Methods: A quantitative survey approach was employed. Data were collected through questionnaires from 60 respondents who had previously used healthcare facilities. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression to examine both partial and simultaneous effects among variables. Findings: The results show that service quality has a positive and significant effect on satisfaction (t = 3.075; p = 0.003). Service delivery procedures also have a positive and significant effect (t = 3.886; p = 0.002). In addition, ease of access to information has a positive and significant effect on satisfaction (t = 3.718; p = 0.000). Simultaneously, the three variables significantly influence satisfaction (F = 43.964; p = 0.000). Implications: These findings suggest that healthcare facilities can enhance user satisfaction by strengthening service quality, improving and standardizing service procedures, and ensuring information systems are clear, responsive, and easy to access supporting practical improvements in service management and information governance. Originality: This study contributes empirically by integrating service quality, service procedures, and information accessibility within a single model to explain user satisfaction in healthcare facilities, providing added value for user-oriented service improvement initiatives.

Abstract

This study investigates the effects of patient safety, service quality, and service excellence on patient satisfaction from the perspective of students at STIKes Widya Dharma Husada Tangerang. The study is important because student perceptions provide an early indicator of service performance and can inform continuous quality improvement in healthcare facilities. Methodology: A quantitative design was applied using survey data collected through structured questionnaires. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, supported by partial t-tests and a simultaneous F-test to examine both individual and joint effects of the independent variables on patient satisfaction. Findings: The results indicate that patient safety has a positive and significant effect on patient satisfaction (t = 2.123; p = 0.038). Service quality also shows a positive and significant effect (t = 3.979; p = 0.032). Service excellence demonstrates a positive and significant influence on patient satisfaction (t = 3.860; p = 0.000). Simultaneously, patient safety, service quality, and service excellence significantly affect patient satisfaction (F = 71.507; p = 0.000), confirming that these factors collectively contribute to improved satisfaction outcomes. Implications: The findings suggest that healthcare providers should implement integrated improvement strategies by strengthening patient safety practices, enhancing service quality dimensions, and institutionalizing service excellence standards to increase patient satisfaction. These results can support managerial decision-making in quality assurance programs and service delivery evaluation. Originality: This study contributes by empirically testing an integrated model that combines patient safety, service quality, and service excellence as simultaneous predictors of patient satisfaction within a student-based perception setting, offering a practical evidence base for targeted service improvement in Indonesian healthcare contexts.

Abstract

Measles remains a significant public health concern in Indonesia, particularly in densely populated urban areas where disease transmission can occur rapidly. Declining immunization coverage and limited public awareness contribute to the risk of measles outbreaks at the community level. This community service program aimed to improve public knowledge and awareness regarding the prevention and control of measles outbreaks in Ciputat District in 2025. The program employed an educational, promotive, and preventive approach through health education sessions, interactive discussions, and the distribution of educational media in the form of leaflets and posters. The target participants included community members, health cadres, and local community leaders. The results of the program indicated an improvement in participants’ understanding of measles, including its modes of transmission, early symptoms, potential complications, and the importance of immunization as the primary preventive measure. Active participation during discussions reflected increased awareness and positive attitudes toward preventive health behaviors. The involvement of health cadres and community leaders strengthened the dissemination of health information and supported the sustainability of the program outcomes. Overall, this community service activity contributed to enhancing community capacity in preventing and controlling measles outbreaks. The program is expected to support public health efforts in reducing the risk of measles transmission and promoting sustained preventive behaviors at the community level.

Abstract

The Baduy Luar and Baduy Dalam communities in Lebak Regency, Banten Province, represent indigenous groups with limited access to routine health examinations and modern medical services. This community service program aimed to improve health awareness and provide basic health examinations for the Baduy community through the Social Empowerment 3.0 initiative organized by BEM KMF Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani (UNJANI). The program employed a promotive and preventive, community-based approach that respected local cultural values and involved collaboration with traditional leaders and community representatives. Activities included basic health examinations, identification of common health complaints, and simple health education tailored to the community’s context. The results of the program indicated that many participants had never undergone routine health check-ups prior to the activity. Basic health examinations enabled early detection of minor to moderate health complaints, while health education activities increased community awareness regarding personal hygiene, early recognition of health problems, and the importance of maintaining overall health.  Overall, this community service activity demonstrated that culturally sensitive, community-based health interventions can effectively enhance health awareness and support early detection of health problems among indigenous populations.
