<![CDATA[Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis faktor-faktor apa saja yang menyebabkan terjadinya prostitusi online melalui aplikasi mi-chat dan upaya aparat penegak hukum dalam menanggulangi kejahatan prostitusi online melalui aplikasi mi-chat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian empiris untuk memperoleh data dan informasi, maka penulis memilih lokasi penelitian melalui aplikasi mi-chat dan POLDA Sulawesi Selatan. Hasil penelitian bawha Faktor penyebab terjadinya prostitusi online melalui aplikasi mi-chat di kota Makassar yakni didasarkan pada faktor aplikasi mi-chat yang mudah digunakan dan diakses. Selain itu bahwa para pengguna aplikasi mi-chat untuk prostitusi online karena untuk menutupi kehidupan ekonomi dan untuk membiayai gaya hidupnya. Upaya prefentiv yaitu melakukan penyuluhan hukum mengenai bahaya kejahatan prostitusi, melakukan kerjasama pihak kepolisian dan dinas sosial, melakukan penyuluhan bahaya penyakit yang ditimbulkan akibat prostitusi. Pihak kepolisian mengadakan patroli keliling daerah-daerah yang dianggap rawan terjadinya kejahatan prostitusi. Upaya represif bahwa pihak kepolisian memberikan penerapan penyidikan sesuai dengan ketentuan perundang-undangan yang berlaku. This study aims to analyze the factors that cause online prostitution through the mi-chat application and the efforts of law enforcement officials in tackling the crime of online prostitution through the mi-chat application. This study uses empirical research methods to obtain data and information, so the authors choose the research location through the mi-chat application and the South Sulawesi Regional Police. The results of the study show that the factors that cause online prostitution through the mi-chat application in the city of Makassar are based on the mi-chat application factor which is easy to use and access. In addition, the users of the mi-chat application for online prostitution are due to cover their economic life and to finance their lifestyle. Preventive efforts are conducting legal counseling regarding the dangers of the crime of prostitution, cooperating with the police and social services, conducting counseling on the dangers of disease caused by prostitution. The police conduct patrols around areas that are considered prone to crime of prostitution. Repressive efforts that the police provide the implementation of the investigation in accordance with the provisions of the applicable legislation.]]>
