Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to examine Ibnu Qoyyim Al-Jauziyah's thoughts on prenatal education. In implementing character education, it should begin long before the child is formed, which is called prenatal education. Prenatal education determines subsequent development and has implications for the child's behavior when born and growing up. This research uses the literature method (library research) namely by collecting various literature that has a correlation with prenatal education such as books, journals, and discussions relevant to the topic of discussion. Data analysis was carried out using the content analysis method, namely identifying, classifying, and interpreting the ideas of Ibn Qoyyim Al-Jauziyah to gain a deep understanding of prenatal education in shaping character. This research is important because it explores the thoughts of Ibn Qoyyim Al-Jauziyah to strengthen character formation from an early age in a holistic manner based on Islamic values. The results of this study indicate that Ibn Qoyyim Al-Jauziyyah provides a curriculum or concept related to prenatal education for married couples. According to him, prenatal education starts from (1) choosing a life partner, (2) when married, (3) when the child is in the womb (pregnancy), and (4) when the child is born (postpartum). At birth and growing up, educating children remains the responsibility of parents and should minimize the use of violence in educating them, because such violence will have a negative impact on the child's growth and development, especially the child's psychology.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pemikiran Ibnu Qoyyim Al-Jauziyah tentang pendidikan pranatal. Dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter, hendaknya dimulai jauh sebelum anak terbentuk yang disebut dengan pendidikan pranatal. Pendidikan pranatal menentukan perkembangan selanjutnya serta memberikan implikasi pada perilaku anak saat dilahirkan dan tumbuh dewasa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kepustakaan (library research) yaitu dengan mengumpulkan berbagai literatur yang memiliki korelasi dengan pendidikan pranatal seperti buku, jurnal, dan pembahasan yang relevan dengan tema bahasan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode analisis isi yaitu mengidentifikasi, mengklasifikasi, dan menginter-pretasikan gagasan Ibnu Qoyyim Al-Jauziyah untuk memperoleh pemahaman mendalam tentang pendidikan pranatal dalam membentuk karakter. Penelitian ini penting karena menggali pemikiran ibnu Qoyyim Al-Jauziyah untuk memperkuat pembentukan karakter sejak dini secara holistik berdasarkan nilai keislaman. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Ibnu Qoyyim Al-Jauziyyah memberikan kurikulum atau konsep terkait pendidikan pranatal bagi pasangan suami istri. Menurutnya, pendidikan pranatal dimulai dari (1) memilih pasangan hidup, (2) saat menikah, (3) saat anak dalam kandungan (hamil), dan (4) saat anak lahir (pasca melahirkan). Pada saat lahir dan tumbuh dewasa, mendidik anak tetap menjadi tanggung jawab orang tua dan hendaknya meminimalisir penggunaan kekerasan dalam mendidik mereka, karena kekerasan tersebut akan berdampak negatif terhadap tumbuh kembang anak terutama psikologis anak.

Abstract

Unregistered marriage is a social phenomenon that is still prevalent in Indonesia, despite causing various problems, especially for women. This study examines how the practice of unregistered marriage triggers emotional dysregulation such as anxiety and confusion in women, which then impacts their cognitive function. Using a neuropsychological approach and Qasim Amin's gender equality perspective, this study analyzes the complex relationship between unstable emotional conditions due to marital uncertainty and decreased cognitive capacity in women. The research method used is a qualitative literature study with document analysis from various literature on neuropsychology, psychology, Islamic family law, and Qasim Amin's thoughts. The results show that unregistered marriage creates a state of chronic stress in women that triggers emotional dysregulation, which in turn disrupts cognitive functions such as memory, concentration, and decision-making. Qasim Amin's equality perspective emphasizes that the practice of unregistered marriage contradicts the principles of dignity and justice for women. This study recommends the need for psychological and legal education for the community, as well as strengthening the perspective of gender equality in Islamic studies.
