Abstract

Scientific publications are one of the components for teachers to develop their profession in a sustainable manner. Written works published by teachers are part of the characteristics of professional teachers through the culture of writing and researching. On the other hand, scientific publications are also an effort to improve the mastery of science and skills in carrying out lifelong learning for teachers. This study aims to gather information, analyze, and describe the ability, training needs of elementary school teachers in scientific publications including the inhibiting factors and the solutions needed. The study was conducted using a mixed research method with an explanatory design involving 87 elementary school teachers. Data was collected through survey techniques, interviews, documentation, and observation. Data analysis was carried out using quantitative, qualitative and triangulation descriptive techniques. The results of the study indicate that although socialization and training on continuous professional development are received by teachers, the fact is that the knowledge and skills of teachers in scientific publications are still very low. Some of the inhibiting factors for teachers in scientific publications include lack of mastery of scientific writing techniques, lack of IT skills, Weak scientific writing skills, low teacher literacy, lack of available references, motivation, time, widespread scientific writing services, and lack of training. Alternative solutions that can be recommended include 1) improvement of the higher education system, especially Educational Personnel Education Institutions, and 2) education and training based on the needs of teachers in scientific publications.

Abstract

This community service aims to provide students withinsight and awareness of sexual violence and how to preventit. The method used is counseling and question and answer.The results show that students' insight increases byparticipating in counseling activities. Those who wereinitially unfamiliar with sexual violence gainedenlightenment about what sexual violence is, its forms,criminal law sanctions, and ways to prevent them. Funlearning and question-and-answer activities by placingoneself as a facilitator have proven to be effective instimulating students' critical thinking skills, active learning,and communication skills. The recommendations are theneed for training that leads to entrepreneurial skills witheconomic value and profits that are useful for students'progress and Islamic boarding schools

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to increase theinsight and skills of the santri (i-generation) in managingemotions and spirituality to prevent and overcome rampantsexual violence among santri. The methods used are training,quizzes, games, and fun learning. The results show that thestudents appear to have increased knowledge about acts ofsexual violence. Apart from that, through ESQ training, thestudents as the i-generation have the skills in managingemotional and spiritual matters to control themselves fromfalling into acts of sexual violence that are denounced byreligion. Santri can also identify the characteristics of actionsthat lead to sexual violence and have the knowledge andskills to prevent or avoid it and find appropriate solutions.The partners recommend that on other occasions, trainingcan be carried out that leads to entrepreneurial skills thathave economic value and profits that are useful for theprogress of students and Islamic boarding schools.
