Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of the long arms, long legs, muscle power arm and power of leg muscle to speed freestyle swimming 50 meters on health education boy student class A Lampung University in academic year 2012. The method used in this research is descriptive correlational to know the speed of freestyle swimming in health education class A in academic year 2012 at 50 meter freestyle swimming. The further data analysis using Pearson product moment correlation test. The final conclusion is that the research has a very large relationship with swimming speed of 50 meter freestyle at boy student of health education class A in academic year 2012 because of the calculation of the research data of each variable has contributed to the outcome of freestyle swimming speed by 50.353% so it has a very strong relationship with the results of freestyle swimming.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui seberapa besar kontribusi antara panjang lengan, panjang tungkai, kekuatan otot lengan dan kekuatan otot tungkai dengan kecepatan renang gaya bebas 50 meter pada mahasiswa putera Penjaskes kelas A Universitas Lampung angkatan 2012. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif korelasional untuk mengetahui kecepatan renang gaya bebas pada mahasiswa penjaskes kelas A angkatan 2012 pada renang gaya bebas 50 meter selanjutnya data di analisis dengan menggunakan uji korelasi pearson product momen. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa hasil penelitian mempunyai hubungan yang sangat besar dengan kecepatan renang gaya bebas 50 meter pada mahasiswa penjaskes kelas A putra angkatan 2012 karena dari hasil perhitungan data hasil penelitian maka masing-masing variabel memiliki kontribusi terhadap hasil kecepatan renang gaya bebas sebesar sebesar 50,353% sehingga memiliki hubungan yang sangat kuat dengan hasil renang gaya bebas.Kata kunci : Kecepatan renang, Kekuatan, Kontribusi, Panjang

Abstract

This research aimed to explore the role of sports teachers in shaping the character of students. The research method used was a literature study which involves analysis of 10 articles, books and scientific journals that are relevant to the research topic. The data was analyzed qualitatively to identify the main findings regarding the role of sports teachers in building student character. The results of the analysis show that the role of sports teachers in forming student character is very positive and has an impact. The role of a sports teacher was not only to be an instructor in terms of physical skills, but also to be a role model who inspires students to develop moral values, such as cooperation, honesty and responsibility, perseverance, fighting spirit, optimism and always upholding sportsmanship, sports activities also provide opportunities for students to learn self-control, overcome challenges, and develop discipline. In conclusion, the role of sports teachers in forming students’ character was very important and varied. Therefore, there needs to be greater attention and support for the role of sports teachers in forming student character education in schools. cooperation, honesty and responsibility. Apart from that, sports activities also provide opportunities for students to learn to control themselves, overcome challenges, and develop discipline. In conclusion, the role of sports teachers in forming the character and discipline of students is very important and varied. Therefore, there needs to be greater attention and support for the role of sports teachers in character education and student discipline in schools.
