Abstract

AbstractThe era of global competition these days had provided an opportunity and also threat for organization to be able to prepare to manage the organization into effective and efficient through good management human resources. Human resource that produced is supposed to have competence which capable of working based on its field. So the importance of competence human resources caused by competence, and it is one of the tools to attain a desired goal.Competence is the ability of an individual for executing a job properly and has a good quality based on such matters as knowledge, expertise, and attitude. So that‟s why human resources besides having the knowledge and expertise, it also need to have a good attitude that expected. If the combination of knowledge, expertise and attitude has not been realized so that the individual workers can be described as incompetence. The importance of competence makes the development of competence used as a basis fortraining, basic recruitment, performance measurement and basic award.Keywords: Global Competition, Competence, Human Resources, Collage Graduate

Abstract

AbstrakEra Masyarakat Ekonomi Asia (MEA), Indonesia merupakan salah satunegara dengan kapasitas Sumber Daya Manusia yang banyak. Namun dalam pengelolaan Sumber Daya Manusia-nya, Indonesia masih sangat jauh tertinggal dengan negara tetangga. Hal ini disebabkan oleh tingkat pendidikan Indonesia masih rendah dan fasilitas yang tidak memadai sehingga mengakibatkan kualitas tenaga kerja yang rendah, pengangguran meningkat, produktivitas menurun, serta daya saing rendah untuk mampu menghadapi persaingan dalam dunia kerja. Indonesia harus berusaha memperbaiki kualitas Sumber Daya Manusiaserta meningkatkan jiwa saing tenaga kerja Indonesia agar mampu bertahan di tengah era MEA. Pemerintah Indonesia harus bisa fokus dan peduli dalam berbenah untuk menciptakan Sumber Daya Manusia lulusan perguruan tinggi yang berkompeten. Pembenahan tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan peningkatan pendidikan dan pemerataan pendidikan. Saat sebuah negara memiliki daya saing yang tinggi dan mampu berkompetisi secara global maka dapat dipastikan SDM lulusan perguruan tinggi yang dimiliki telah mampu mencapai standarisasidan memiliki reputasi yang baik.

Abstract

In this paper, we tried to see the entrepreneurship character education of SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja. We raised character-based entrepreneurship education. We used qualitative in this paper and interviews, observations, document studies and triangulation were used to collect the data. The results provided indicate that the development of entrepreneurship education in SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja were religious, noble character, national competitiveness, creative, independent, discipline and environmentally insight.

Abstract

Decision is the beginning of an action. Decision making in an educational organization is directly related to the principal. The principal as a manager has an important role in making decisions quickly, accurately and effectively by using data and information for optimal educational environment performance. Decision making conducted by State Secondary School principals 13 Palembang already been running well, this could be seen from the process and stages done by the principal with the decision with the observation, data, planning and registry related to education at school. Then, conduct deliberation with teachers to take a policy, interpersonally approach teachers to organize events, give ideas, engage teachers in training, and supervise as supervisory activities. Abstract

The problems faced by private organizations and government agencies, especially in Palembang were about the female employees who have double roles and levels of work stress they face. This is certainly a challenge for every private organization and government agencies in order to improve the quality of organizational commitment through work professionalism. Employees who have multiple roles may have severe problems, they tend to often experience work stress conflicts, because their role as an employee is difficult regardless of the role of housewife. The purpose of this research was to know the conflict of double role and level of work stress to organizational commitment to the household worker. The respondents were a housewife who works in government agencies Public Broadcaster Radio Republic Indonesia Programa 2 South Sumatera. The results of this study indicate that the increase in commitment and professionalism of work due to field work programs for employees who have double roles. Negative effects of job stress must be minimized because it can adversely affect organizational commitment. Employees who have double roles should effectively manage time to minimize work stress as a result of double roles.

Abstract

National defense is not only to maintain the unity of the Republic of Indonesia, but it must be realized in real life to create critical, loyality, and determination of the nation. This study aimed at finding out the efforts to build the value of defending nation through the Education of Pancasila in Universitas PGRI Palembang. The method used was qualitative case study. The techniques used for collecting data were interview, documentation, observation and literature review. The data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions were analyzed simultaneously and interactively by using qualitative analysis. The result of this research stated that (1) the students of Universitas PGRI Palembang still had limited knowledge about the values of nation defense, (2) the students did not have critical attitude towards the problems around them, (3) the students had low achievement in motivation. The efforts done by Universitas PGRI Palembang in handling with these problems were fostering: (1) the values of love of the nation (2) fostering the value of national and state awareness, (3) fostering the values of Pancasila as the ideology of the nation, 4) the value of loyalty to the nation, (5) the knowledge of nation defense, and (6) the spirit of achievement as a reflection of the love of the nation.

Abstract

Organizational trust is essential for members of the organization can continue to contribute the progress of the organization. The purpose of this research was to find out how far the variables of leadership behavior and organizational justice on improving organizational trust. The research method used is associative quantitative causal method, and the testing hypothesis research using path analysis technique. The population in this study is 707 permanent lecturers who have the National Lecturer Number (NIDN). The sample is 130 respondents. The instrument test was conducted to 30 respondents outside the sample. The findings of this research indicate that the higher leadership behavior in directing subordinates, providing support to subordinates; increase member participation in achieving organizational goals, and rewarding the achievers, will significantly higher the trust in the organization. Other finding showed that the higher organizational justice will close to the higher of the trust in the organization

Abstract

Global conception education is an educational process designed to prepare students with intellectual and responsible basic skills to enter a competitive and highly interdependent nation-state life. As a child of the nation both as educators or learners must have a high awareness that life is always related to global issues so that to be able to live a good life we must be able to open up to add insight and knowledge and technology literate so can compete with other countries. Concern for the preservation of the Environment, culture and local wisdom must also be maintained as the foundation of the Indonesian nation and it is not easy to generalize an event and be wiser in "interpreting an event". Keywords— Global Issues, Global Equity Education, Global Insighted Education

Abstract

Universities carry out the function of tridharma: education and teaching, research, and community service. The three dharma are interrelated, among others, the first dharma (education: theoretical) and second (research: innovation) must concretely support the third dharma (devotion: transformation). The research was conducted not only for the sake of the research itself, credit numbers, promotion, money. In carrying out the research contained an important mission, namely for the benefit of society. That is, the community remains a focus, especially in social research. So, the results and findings of the research must have a "back-flow" to the community. Research must be followed up with community service that is in the interests of the community. Research must have a positive impact on society; the community is not just a respondent. Types of research vary: basic, development, survey, exploration, applicative, and others. Not all results and research findings can be followed up with community service. However, there are also a number of results of research that can be continued to the community service action. Research to produce findings that have empirical truth values can be accounted for. If this is community service, the quality of the community service will also increase, meaning that the impact on the target audience is more efficient. Universities donations to the community through community service are also more significant. Universities is no longer exclusive: untouched and unwilling to touch and the community feels closer and has a universities.

Abstract

Challenges in the industrial era 4.0 were identified as 1) improvement of information technology security; 2) increasing the reliability and stability of the production machine; 3) improvement of skills; 4) the reluctance of stakeholders to change; and 5) loss of many jobs due to automation. Disruptive changes overthrow the prevailing system until a fundamental change does not have to be ignored. This means that universities are not free from the threat of being disrupted if they do not immediately make changes and adjust their role in the world of education. These challenges and changes, asked college continue to carry out various roles, such education and teaching, development, and dissemination, as a storehouse of knowledge for the community. The Challenge of Higher Education in Indonesia in the era of the Industry refers to the hope of having world-class universities and can survive and develop according to demands in the era of industrial revolution 4.0.
