Abstract

In recent years, the halal sector has been regarded as the source of the country's economic growth. Indonesia has great potential for developing halal industries as it is the country with the largest Muslim population in the world. According to The State of Global Islamic Economy Report 2020-2021, Muslims around the world spend more than $2.02 trillion on goods like halal food, halal pharmacy, halal cosmetics, fashion, Shariah tourism, and more. In addition, according to the Indonesian Shariah Economic Master Plan 2019-2024, Indonesia is the 10th largest buyer in any halal industry subsector. Indonesia ranks first in the world for food shopping and fifth for halal travel. A deductive study is a type of research that begins with a theory or hypothesis and seeks to test its validity through data collection and analysis. The results of the research show that the factors affecting the value of halal industry in companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange must have a halal certification from MUI. Halal certification is a process of systematic testing to find out whether a product made by a company meets legal requirements or not.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of local cultural elements in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning at the elementary school level in Jember Regency, Indonesia. The main objectives of this study were to identify relevant local cultural elements, understand teachers' and students' perceptions of culture-based STEM learning, and analyze challenges and opportunities in its implementation. The research method used was a qualitative approach with a case study, involving in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation analysis. The results showed that integrating local cultures, such as agricultural wisdom, art traditions, and the local environment, can increase the relevance and engagement of students in STEM learning. Teachers and students generally had positive perceptions of this approach, which was considered able to relate STEM concepts to their daily lives. However, challenges such as lack of teacher knowledge and limited resources need to be addressed to maximize the potential of cultural integration in STEM education. This study provides an important contribution to developing a more contextual and inclusive curriculum, as well as encouraging the preservation of local culture in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss how the process ofcreating an effective learning culture in MI BustanulUlum Brudu in improving the quality of education thatis always associated with the process of teaching andlearning activities with the goal of achieving quality andthe quality of education in madrasas. The quality ofeducation has been achieved because of the awarenessand participation of all elements of education in MIBustanul Ulum, so it can form an effective teaching andlearning culture. For that, universally takes appropriatemeasures by way of intertwining komonikasi, theparticipation of all the elements of education, qualifiedhuman resources, planning and intensive guidance. Allthis can be carried out continuously either at the schoolor outside the madrasah.Keywords: cultural effective learning and improving thequality of education
