Abstract

 ABSTRACTPT. XYZ is a company engaged in industrial gas, gas installation, tank / iso tank service, and various kinds of equipment related to industrial gas. Based on the source of the report data from thesection, workshop there is a fabrication process for industrial gas installations which often occurs in defects in the welding process which often results in failure in welding tests. The cause of welding defects can be due to incorrect welding procedures, inadequate preparation and can also be caused by equipment and consumables that do not meet standards. So, based on this, a research with the title. "Analysis of Mechanical Properties of Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) onMaterial Stainlees Steel 304 with Variation of Heat Input using themethod NDT at PT. XYZ. The test method that is often carried out at PT CYZ is themethod non-destructive test (NDT) using dye penetrant. Therefore, the method used in this research is the dye penetrant test. This welding test will not damage the results of the weld so that the welding defects that occur can be seen clearly and can be repaired. The purpose of NDT activities include detecting defects or discontinuity (above the surface, below the surface, and within a material), to measure the geometry of objects, and determine the chemical composition of the material. The result of this research is that the heat input of each specimen is influenced by the factors of current, voltage and welding speed. This is related to the welding speed on each specimen, where the welding speed is influenced by the welding time. Specimens given the highest current input have less welding time, this is because the process of melting filler metal and base matal is faster when compared to giving a low current input. It can be seen in specimens A and C in this study that welding defects have occurred, this occurs because the welding current welding process must be adjusted to what stages will be carried out, because each welding stage has a different seam thickness.  Keyword: Stainless steel 304, GTAW, Heat Input, NDT Dye Pentrant Test

Abstract

Keseimbangan lini adalah suatu penugasan sejumlah pekerjaan kedalam stasiun-stasiun kerja yang saling berkaitan dalam suatu lintasan atau lini produksi dengan tujuan meminimumkan waktu menganggur pada lintasan yang telah ditentukan oleh operasi yang paling lambat. Pada line assembly model Gaga terdapat 17 stasiun kerja dimana 1 stasiun kerja dikerjakan oleh 1 operator.Rata-rata indeks operation runing operator dari stasiun kerja 1-17 adalah 85 % yang artinya masih ada banyak waktu idle sekitar 15%. Hal ini akan menyebabkan tidak meratanya pembebanan kerja pada tiap-tiap stasiun kerja. Dengan adanya ketidakseimbangan tersebut, perlu dilakukan perhitungan ulang untuk menentukan jumlah tenaga kerja yang optimal agar tidak terjadi waktu menganggur yang berlebihan dan pekerjaan dapat dilakukan dengan efektif dan efisien..Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi ketidakseimbangan lini adalah dengan melakukan keseimbangan pada lini perakitan menggunakan metode Killbride Waster Heuristic keseimbangan lini. Hasil penelitian ini menghasilkan pemilihan lini keseimbangan usulan 1 dengan nilai balance delay 0.02%, line effeciency 99.8% dan smoothness index 0.42 dengan jumlah stasiun kerja 8 stasiun kerja.

Abstract

PT. Advik Indonesia adalah perusahaan manufaktur otomotif terkemuka dari India yang mengkhususkan diri dalam produksi komponen untuk kendaraan roda dua seperti tensioner, water pump, oil pump, dan decompr assembly. Water Pump Type B128 adalah salah satu produk utama yang digunakan pada motor Honda PCX. Proses produksinya melibatkan 11 stasiun kerja dengan satu operator per stasiun, membutuhkan total waktu siklus 188,6 detik, dengan efisiensi lintasan saat ini hanya mencapai 53%. Studi ini menganalisis dan memecahkan masalah efisiensi dalam perakitan Water Pump Type B128 menggunakan metode Ranked Position Weight (RPW) di PT. Advik Indonesia. Ranked Position Weight (RPW) digunakan untuk menghitung waktu siklus, menilai bobot posisi dalam jaringan kerja, serta meningkatkan efisiensi waktu rata-rata produksi. Berdasarkan analisis balance delay, line efficiency, dan smoothness index, dipilih usulan lini produksi alternatif pertama dari empat usulan alternatif yang diajukan. Implementasi usulan ini menghasilkan penurunan balance delay sebesar 29,4%, dari 46,6% menjadi 17,2%, yang menunjukkan pembebanan waktu kerja yang lebih seimbang. Jumlah stasiun kerja berkurang menjadi 4 dari sebelumnya 11, dengan peningkatan smoothness index dari 57,59 menjadi 37,62. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan signifikan dalam line efficiency, dari 53% menjadi 83%. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode Ranked Position Weight (RPW) efektif dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan kualitas produksi Water Pump Type B128 di PT. Advik Indonesia, dengan fokus pada optimasi waktu siklus dan pengaturan ulang alur kerja.

Abstract

Background: Vocational education plays a crucial role in preparing competent graduates who meet industry needs. SMK MedikaCom Bandung, as a Center of Excellence school, continuously strives to enhance teacher competencies to improve the quality of graduates who can be absorbed into the workforce and to serve as a model for other vocational schools. The Department of Mechanical Engineering at SMK MedikaCom Bandung seeks to strengthen both teacher and student understanding of CAD/CAM technology through the application of CNC machines, supported by training and the integration of a (DfM)-based curriculum. Methods: The activities were conducted on August 22 and 27, 2025, through several stages, including socialization, FGDs, teacher training on DfM, development of digital teaching modules, and student mentoring in product-based projects. Evaluation was carried out using pre- and post-test instruments to measure differences in participants’ knowledge and skills before and after the program. Results: The test results indicated that all variables had p-values < 0.05, signifying a significant improvement. Teachers showed an increase in their understanding of CAD/CAM applications on CNC machines from 80% to 90% and in their knowledge of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and Teaching Factory methods from 70% to 85%. Students also demonstrated improved comprehension of CNC utilization in non-conventional machining learning from 75% to 93%. Conclusions: The community service program effectively enhanced teachers’ and students’ mastery of CAD/CAM technology and their understanding of DfM. These outcomes support the implementation of an industry-based digital curriculum and strengthen the relevance of vocational school learning to workforce demands.
