Abstract

Sampah plastik merupakan permasalahan besar di Indonesia yang menjadi penyumbang kerusakan lingkungan. Hal ini dikarenakan kebutuhan plastik yang meningkat seiring pertumbuhan penduduk dan kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pemanfaatan kembali sampah plastik. Salah satunya yang terjadi di Kelurahan Kemijen RW 03 yaitu kurangnya lahan pembuangan dan pengolahan sampah menyebabkan banyak masyarakat yang membuang sampah di sungai serta tambak didekat pemukiman penduduk. Artikel ini bertujuan memberikan informasi terkait pengolahan sampah yang telah dilakukan di Kelurahan Kemijen RW 03 yaitu dengan metode ecobriks. Metode ini dilakukan dengan cara mengisi botol plastik dengan menggunakan berbagai macam sampah plastik sampai penuh dan padat. Dengan demikian, metode ini sangat efektif untuk mengurangi sampah plasik karena untuk mengisi satu botol plastik membutuhkan sampah plastik yang banyak. Harapannya artikel ini dapat membantu mengurangi sampah plastik di Kelurahan Kemijen khususnya RW 03.

Abstract

Quartz stone contains silica components (SiO2) which have the ability as a reinforcement material for composite materials. Quartz SEM-EDX testing shows that the quartz silica comonent is 69%. Other components contained in quartz are 34% MgO and 2% CaO. Therefore, quartz stone is used as a reinforcing material in mango leaf waste composite materials. Meanwhile, compressive strength testing of composite materials was carried out with variations of Polyurethane (PU) polymers, namely 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 grams, obtaining the highest maximum pressure at 6 grams polymer mass, which is 38.91 grams. Testing of composite materials that have been given a mixture of quartz stone with a mass of Polyurethane (PU) 6 grams and a quartz stone variation of 0.03; 0,06; 0,09; 0,12; 0,15; and 0.18 grams obtained the maximum power most optimally there is a quartz mass of 0.06 grams of 40.47 grams. The strength of mango leaf composite meets the strength standard for building materials, namely concrete with a value of 20-150 MPa. This shows that quartz stone can be a composite reinforcement comprehenent for mango leaf waste.

Abstract

This work has been carried out to use clove leaf oil as a composite coating component having anti-fungal properties. The mushroom growth testing was carried out with minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) testing with variations in concentrations of 0%, 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%, 0.8%, up to 1% and obtained MIC values of clove oil found at a concentration of 0.4% in inhibiting the growth of white-rot fungi. Ganoderma lucidum mushroom is used as a weathering fungus applied in composites. The results of SSD testing showed that the growth of Ganoderma lucidum fungus began to be inhibited in composites coated with clove oil with a concentration of 0.6%.FTIR testing showed the presence of hydroxyl group (O-H), methylene group (C-H), alkenyl (C=C), and aromatic ring (C=C-C), GC-MS test results showed clove oil containing 67.40% eugenol, 17.42% beta-caryophyllene, 2.91% isopropenyl acetate, 1.56% caryophyllene oxide and 0.91% alpha-copaene. Based on research data, it shows that clove leaf oil can be used as an anti-fungal coating component in composites.

Abstract

The demand for bottled drinking water continues to increase in line with population growth and rising public awareness of the importance of clean and hygienic water. PPYD Al-Ikhlas Malang, as a pesantren-based educational institution, seeks to develop a bottled water business unit as part of its economic self-sufficiency efforts. This activity aims to implement an automatic cup sealer system to improve production efficiency and product quality. The methods used include literature study, observation, system design, and direct implementation in the production unit. The results show that the use of an automatic cup sealer can increase production capacity by up to 60% compared to the manual method, reduce the risk of contamination, and lower labor costs. Therefore, this system makes a significant contribution to the development of the bottled water business within the pesantren environment.
