Abstract

Mathematics aims to improve skills such as reasoning, critical thinking and problem solving in order to prepare students for life and further education. However, mathematics is generally considered a science that does not allow for critical thinking. In the learning process, most students are passive in solving mathematical problems so they cannot practice their critical thinking abilities The main aim of this research is to find out whether the problem-based learning model is effective on students' critical thinking abilities. This study uses a quantitative approach. This research is used a type of quasi-experimental research (quasi-experimental). The population of this study was all class VIII students at SMPN 1 Kajen, totaling 288 students. The sample from this research was 64 students consisting of an experimental class that applied a problem-based learning model and a control class that applied conventional learning. The results of this research show that the critical thinking abilities of students who receive the problem-based learning model are significantly different from students who receive the conventional learning model. The N-Gain test results show the effectiveness of the learning process. The use of problem-based learning models produces better critical thinking abilities compared to conventional learning models.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test the level of knowledge and understanding of taxpayers about tax slogans "proud to pay taxes." The type of research is a descriptive qualitative method using a critical approach. The place chosen in this study was KPP Pratama Pamekasan. The results showed that (1) socialization by KPP Pratama Pamekasan was still lacking, so the community did not know and understand what he wanted in the slogan. (2) The slogan is still interpreted and is inappropriate. The taxpayer still considers the slogan to remind the awareness to pay taxes. Not yet at the stage of pride for taxpayers after paying taxes; (3) Great hope of the slogan that the community is more proud of the government can manage professionally and accountable tax revenues.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the dynamics of socio-cultural change in the implementation of the Tedhak Siten tradition as a form of interaction between local cultural heritage and modernity. Tedhak Siten, as one of the important rituals in the life cycle of Javanese society, has undergone a transformation both in form, meaning, and method of implementation along with the times. The main focus of this research is to identify the forms of socio-cultural changes that occur in the Tedhak Siten tradition, as well as the Javanese community's response to the phenomenon. The method used is a literature study approach with secondary data analysis from journals, scientific articles, and socio-cultural theories. The results concluded that modernization does not completely erode traditional values, but rather encourages the adaptation of forms and reinterpretation of traditions to remain relevant in the midst of modern life. Thus, the preservation of local culture requires a contextual approach that is responsive to social change.

Abstract

Kurikulum merupakan pedoman penting dalam proses pembelajaran karena mengandung komponen-komponen yang saling terkait seperti tujuan, materi pembelajaran, metode pengajaran, dan evaluasi. Artikel ini membahas komponen-komponen kurikulum dalam pembelajaran, peran guru dalam mengintegrasikan komponen-komponen kurikulum, dan tantangan yang dihadapi guru. Secara lebih sederhana, ini juga merujuk pada langkah-langkah praktis yang dapat kita ambil untuk menyelesaikan berbagai masalah yang muncul. Fokusnya adalah menemukan cara terbaik untuk mengatasi tantangan-tantangan ini agar tidak menghambat pencapaian tujuan kita. Guru memainkan peran penting sebagai perencana, pelaksana, dan evaluator dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga keberhasilan implementasi kurikulum sangat dipengaruhi oleh kompetensi guru. Dalam praktiknya, guru masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, termasuk kesulitan dalam memahami kurikulum, merancang tujuan pembelajaran, memilih metode pengajaran yang tepat, melakukan evaluasi, dan menghadapi keterbatasan fasilitas dan keterampilan teknologi. Untuk mengatasi masalah-masalah ini, diperlukan beberapa upaya, seperti pelatihan guru, pengembangan profesional, dukungan sekolah, dan penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Dengan dukungan yang memadai, guru diharapkan dapat mengimplementasikan kurikulum secara lebih efektif sehingga tujuan pendidikan dapat tercapai secara optimal.

Abstract

This research aims to address the limited use of technology-based media in fine arts learning, especially in the context of drawing. Many students encounter difficulties in expressing their creativity in drawing, which calls for innovative learning solutions that leverage technology. The objective of this study is to develop a valid, practical, and effective learning medium based on Google Sites for fifth-grade elementary school students. The research follows a Research and Development approach, specifically using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The study was conducted in two schools, UPT SDN 02 Padang Ganting as a trial school and UPT SDN 03 Padang Ganting as a research school. The results of the material validity test were 90%, the results of the media validity test were 96%, and the results of the language validity test were 96% of the three validity tests in the very valid category. The results of the teacher response practicality test obtained a percentage of 94.5% while the results of the student response practicality test amounted to 96% of both results in the very practical category. The effectiveness test results obtained from the pre test and post test showed an increase in both schools. It is concluded that learning media based on Google sites in learning fine arts for grade V elementary school students is valid, practical and effective.
